Always a favourite when heading down the N2, this is a proper old style bakery which does great meat pies to eat in or take home, lovely cakes and sandwiches, and good hot drinks. The staff have been there for ever and are very smiley and efficient. Don't miss it!

Breakfast time in this nice spot on the road. They make bread from eureka stone ground flour. This are the real bakers and that with a nice cup of coffee what do you wash for more. Nice terrace for sunny breakfast. If you want to buy cookies or bread or a present they have a small shop.

Oumeul is part of our road trip to Cape Town. It's a chill stop, so dont stop if you're in a hurry. Friendly staff and quality food. Realy worth a visit.

We popped into this bakery whilst passing through. Very efficient, friendly staff. We ordered a selection of pies which included venison, spinach and feta and mutton, with apple turnovers for dessert. The only pies that was not up to scratch was my spinach and feta. the rest had pies, bursting with filling in a good, somewhat overly generous amount of pastry. Mine had very little spinach and feta filling in relation to the amount of pastry. What was in the pie was tasty. Apple turnovers were smothered in white water icing. Not necessary, a drizzle would have done the job. Filling was yummy.
