The cottage was perfect for a family of 3. It's very well equipped with everything we needed. The presentation of it is very good and clean throughout. The real fire is great for winter stays.
There's a good shed for bike storage and parking off road at the front of the house.
The village pub is nearby, but there's no noise from it. The cottage is quiet and peaceful. There are good walks from the house, hills or flat. Mabie forest mtb is 5 mins drive away.
Owner was very helpful and nice to have been left some milk and a cake on arrival.

Wonderful cottage, all modern facilities were provided. But still maintained it’s original features could not fault it, the garden was lovely and as we had quite good weather it was great place to sit, relax and enjoy the sun. As for New Abbey village it was such beautiful and welcoming place along with the neighbours.

We first visited this lovely little cottage in 2014 and it's as clean and fresh now as it was 5 years ago. The kitchen is extremely well equipped including a dishwasher. Amazing in such a compact area. The double bed is so comfortable and the velux window increases the natural light. The village is well worth visiting with a little shop, a corn mill complete with its own dam and an award winning cafe.
