We stayed in Abbey Green in New Abbey for five nights. A very pretty place with plenty to see and do. Dumfries and Galloway as a whole is well worth a visit. Scenery, castles, woodland, walks, cycling, good places to eat. Most of all Abbey Green was a great choice of place to stay.Equipped to the hilt and very comfortable indeed. We hope to go back in the future.

We stayed here for a week in August. The booking process was quick and easy with all information about the cottage, directions etc being e mailed well in advance of the holiday. The cottage is quaint, spotless and beautifully furnished. Beds are comfortable, loved the remote control skylight in the double room! The garden is HUGE, private and well maintained.
We found a huge victoria sponge with a large layer of fresh cream, raspberries and blueberries in the fridge, which was a kind and welcoming gesture.
The village itself is lovely, there is a small friendly newsagent/shop across the road and sweetheart abbey is a very short stroll away. Abbey cottage tea rooms, next door to the abbey are well worth a visit, the food is delicious. They have a recipe book to buy so that you can re-create their dishes and cakes when you are back home!
We would stay again if visiting the area.

The cottage is lovely decorated and well laid out. In the centre of New Abbey which is full of old world charm. There is plenty to see close by with reams of information in the cottage to help plan your stay.

We booked New Abbey cottage as we were visiting friends in the area.It is a great location for sightseeing and is in a pretty village, with local shop and tea rooms nearby.
The cottage has all modern amenities, including a very comfortable bed and I had a perfect night's sleep.
