We were totally taken with Abbey Green Cottage and the village, the cottage is beautiful and very comfortable, it has all the mod cons its just like a home from home. The Vvllage is full of lovely people particular the ladies who live next door who made us feel like we were part of village life. We are already looking to book for next year......what more of a recommendation can you give.

This was our second visit to this lovely cottage, and it can only be described as ''Home from Home''. We will be back again.

Thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the cottage. Lovely chocolate cake left for us on arrival which was much appreciated. Cottage was clean, well equipped, and had all we needed for our stay. Particularly impressed by the help we received when I lost the cottage key during a day out. Owner and local shop owner, Mhairi, plus neighbours were very helpful and replacement key provided very quickly. Would recommend the cottage and New Abbey to anyone wanting a nice peaceful holiday in Galloway.

The cottage is situated in the village of New Abbey within walking distance of the beautiful Sweetheart Abbey.

Abbey Green is very well equipped and comfortable and the owners seem to have thought of everything to help you enjoy your stay including a lovely cake to welcome us on arrival! It has a lovely garden which can be found down a path to the side of the cottage which would be ideal to sit in or have a bbq on warm, summer evenings if you are lucky enough with the weather. It also has wifi which came in handy as neither of us could get a phone signal in the village. Beds were comfortable and the wet room very good too.
An excellent week's stay despite the variable weather, we would definitely recommend the cottage and we hope to go back at a warmer time of year
