have just returned from having a most enjoyable few days at this cottage,we couldn't have asked for any better. It was spotless very well equipped and comfortable. The owners should be proud of the work that they have carried out to get it to the standard it is.we also had a nice surprise of a homemade cake left for us,it was delicious our grandson loved it.

My wife and I stayed in the wonderful little cottage, it has everything you could possibly need and a lot more. The compact kitchen is so well planned and is well stocked with crockery, cutlery ,pots, bowls etc. We were touched by the welcome gift of a delicious home baked sponge cake.....thank you! The kingsize bed was very comfotable with lovely clean crisp bedding and lots of nice quality towels. Great shower with good pressure. Comfortable seating in the livingroom. Lots of information in the cottage about things to do and see around the area with recommendations on good places to eat. We felt that this cottage was excetional value for was provided and that the owners cared that the guest staying in the cottage had everything they required to enjoy their stay ..so thank you.. and we will most definately be back

“What a wonderful cottage”

Abbey Green is a most delightful place. Beautifully fitted out with quality furnishings, it is a spotlessly clean, comfortable cottage and had everything we needed for a home away from home. Despite being near a pub it is very quiet and the perfect base from which to explore the local village and down to the Solway coast and yet it is only a short drive into Dumfries. Allan and Suzanne were excellent hosts and we appreciated their thoughtfulness in providing some starter food items and a delicious fresh baked cake!

“Lovely place to stay”

The cottage is right in the centre of the village in a lovely square opposite the pub. Inside the rooms are modern and for the size of the cottage very well planned out. The kitchen has everything you need even a dishwasher and there was wifi and an Xbox for the children with a couple of films and games in the cupboard. Everything was spotless and the bed was very comfortable. The bathroom is a shower room and lovely and hot and powerful but I struggled to open the sash window to let the steam out so had to leave the door open. Plenty of literature re walks and things to do really well set out in a folder. We went to the Laggan outdoor centre which was great fun and for food to the Steamboat Inn which was lovely. The shop opposite has everything you need and everyone was really friendly. A lovely place to stay.
