It's a small museum with not so much artefacts. However if you would like to learn about the history of Bangka then you should come to this museum.

Inside the museum you will find several very informative diorama. The information is also nicely presented.

The museum keeper also acts as guide. The museum doesn't charge any entrance ticket.

This museum gave us a bit of history and background of tin mining in Bangka.
There was no guide in the museum, so we just have to read the information shown on the exhibits and displays. There was no one to ask for more information. I guess this is why the place lacks the warmth
Entry is free of charge.

If you wonder what caused Bangka to be founded, you should visit this museum. It is small but well maintained. Need to publisized more so more people would realize there is such an informative place in Bangka. Staff was very knowledgable and helpful. Strongly recommend it to be visited on your first day here.

A walking distance from Centrum Hotel where I stay.
This museum is a must to visit place when you want to learn tin industry and history in Bangka. The collection is fewer compare to my last visit few years back but it still a good place to spend few hours inside.
Outside you can see example of buckets in many sizes, and many more historical tools for tim mining.
Leaflet is available for your reference, printed in Indonesian and English.

Open almost every day (incl weekend) from 8:00 till afternoon, except Friday.
