Absolutely loved our time spent at Leuaina in March! We stayed for 8 days in the 2 bedroom family villa & it was perfect for what we needed for 2 adults & 3 kids under 6.
The gardens are beautiful, the pool is great, the playground awesome to keep the kids entertained & being right on the ocean was just beautiful, especially using the kayaks. Next time we will bring snorkelling gear as I saw a bright blue starfish from the kayak.

I recommend the villa that we stayed in for families with young children as it was not right next to the water or pool which gave me piece of mind. It also has a sitting area with a tv, which at the end of a long day & you just want to relax & let the kids wind down really helped for us (just put some movies on a usb as it only has local channels). Also, the air-con worked great & really helped us to have a good nights sleep.

The staff were some of the friendliest people I have met! They are a big part of what makes this resort awesome. Always helpful & happy to see you but give you enough space so you can enjoy your holiday. Also, cannot forget the owners beautiful children who our kids loved playing with & have made good friends with. They keep asking to go back so that they can visit their friends!

The only thing I wish it had more of is traditional Samoan food on the menu! Although, when we did ask about this they were happy to help us out & arranged for some for our dinner the next night after a function was held there. But the food served is nice & breakfast was good to get us going for our busy days.

We wish we could have spent more time enjoying the resort but were out a lot seeing family in another village! Next time we visit (which we have already booked for) we hope to be able to really relax here & let our hair down! It was a great place to have our first family holiday to Samoa & can't wait to come back!

Just a point to be noted - we are not over the top people so our perspective of comfort may be different to those who are used to 5 star fancy hotels. Please visit Samoa with an open mind & be ready to immerse yourself in the culture. It is truly a beautiful place that is yet to be over run by the western world (thank god, please keep it that way!) But reading some of the other reviews it seems as though they may have been expecting something else. Leuaina Beach Resort is perfect for families & even anyone who is looking for somewhere comfortable & safe to stay that won't break your budget!

We thank you all at Leuaina for making our stay with you enjoyable! All the best & see you later this year :)
P.S. Phoenix & Griffin say Hello to Ernie & Snowy!

I have just returned home from 7 nights at LeUaina, and I can't wait to return. The resort offers everything you need, right on the beachfront and next door to the piula cave pool. It is well presented, clean and tidy. Great swimming spot, pool and the restaurant provides nice meals and drinks at a reasonable price. Lovely huge deck over the water, many evenings spent here enjoying a cocktail and watching the sun set.
All the staff at Le Uaine were absolutely outstanding. So warm and friendly, took a genuine interest in you. Right from day one everyone greeted me by name, were more than happy to have a chat and nothing was too much trouble. I was travelling solo but I really do feel I left with with new friends. I can't wait to return to Samoa and I will be booking in here again!

We drove by this resort on our way to Aga. Decided to stop in. The views are great over the water. Nice water. We were the only ppl there for lunch and they were out of any Samoan food. The only thing we could eat as vegetarians were some pasta. We got the pasta and it was just huge. But good. We also had a very simple salad. It was good as well. I'm sure the choices are much better if you visit in the high season. We saw NOONE there. It was deserted.
A place to visit for lunch if you are driving to another resort. I would not stay at this resort.

We had an amazing 10 days stay with my family here last December and kept meaning to write a nice review for these guys because they really did look after us & we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. We are glad we did not go with some of the negative reviews we saw here and went instead with our gut feeling. So it is not perfect but for us it was just right for my family. We loved its homely and safe environment & we felt like we were at home. The owners were a lovely couple who enjoyed talking to us and other guests. The son Junior who manages the Resort lives there with his wife and was very attentive. He treated us to a boat trip to the falls close by so our son could see the turtles. It was short but lovely. His children, Snow and Erny are about our sons age and he loved hanging out with them. My son still asks about them. Our son loved the playground, I think they just finished it when we arrived. The staff were absolutely fantastic and most helpful. LE the head waiter gave us top notch service. The food was tasty & I would recommend their pizza and "oka" (raw fish in fresh coconut cream). We were keen to try out some Samoan food and was recommended "taro" and "palusami";it was delicious. The fiafia night on Friday night was about 30 minutes long concluding with the fantastic fire knife show. We loved it. My advise if you want 5 star service and accommodation etc then go to where it is offered on the island. But if you are after a relaxing holiday with good service within your budget then this is your place. We highly recommend it for families and couples who just want to relax and read a book. We were very sad to leave. But as promised we will be back. Thank you so much for looking after us and making us feel like part of the family. We will see you again our Samoan friends xox

Stayed here for 4 nights in February in a beachfront villa. We chose the resort for the price point and looking for something sitting in between a 5 star hotel and a fale.

Firstly the location is excellent. Next to piula cave pool and on its own sheltered lagoon.approx 25 minutes drive from Apia and around 4o minutes to supposed " best beach" on the island.

The hotel sits right on the water and hasn't easy beach access to the water which is a sandy bottom. There's a raft there as well. Water crystal clear. Kayaks available.

Villa was perfect. Not 5 star but large, good views, nice deck outdoor furniture, good aircon and a fan. Wifi available for ten dollars for 2 hours ( doesn't have to be continuous) . Speed excellent

Reastaurant fiod was awesome. Big serves and just like a Sunday home cooked meal. As an example pork loin and heaps of vegetables around 15 dollars nzd. Sashimi around 12 dollars nz( massive serve). Beer 3 dollars, wine 30 , spirits 6, great cocktails 10 all nz

Nice pool, awesome staff, superb value for money.
