We popped into the shop for something to eat. It's got room for about four people to sit down at two tables. We had a coffee, some home made soup and a cheese scone and a real laugh with some of the local ladies, who'd dropped in for a cup of tea.

A tiny little shop that serves some lovely homemade cakes and filled rolls. Seating inside is very cosy/limited (8 places max), but there's more outside if the weather is nice. Ideal "watering hole" when visiting Elgol. They also sell basic provisions and you can take cakes rolls and drinks away, making it ideal for stocking up before a long walk or if taking a boat trip. Although the views from the shop are limited Elgol is stunning.

We visited here during our first trip to Elgol and arrived after a rather long walk.
The home baked fruit scones were a welcome delight together with a yummy fruit slice and two great coffees. The owner was present during our first visit and very friendly and helpful as was her assistant the following day.
Not many coffee shops in Elgol so this was a little Oasis and outdoor seating was available for those sunny warm Skye days !!! , we enjoyed the cost inside where the premises doubled up as a convenience shop and gift shop.

While the pre-packaged sandwiches were good, the baked goods--especially the scones--are excellent. AND you get great advice on what to do and see in Elgol from the owner as a bonus. She is a one-woman chamber of commerce and a total delight, rain or shine. There is a pretty good selection of grocery goods and a very nice selection of souvenir gifts and postcards. But the scones--we are bread snobs--are fantastic. Don't miss em.
