We booked a cooking lesson through the JW Marriott concierge for Kin Dee. Be careful that you don't get the JWM cooking lesson unless that is what you want. Because we didn't want any fish or seafood, they allowed us to be by ourselves, so private lesson! The ingredients were cleaned and put on plates by dish, so that we made sure to have the right combinations for each dish. We chose spring rolls, green chicken curry, pineapple rice and chicken pad Thai. All were scrumptious, and we had enough left over for dinner as well. This is better than sitting at a chef's table in a top restaurant, as you can theoretically go home and make these dishes on your own. The ingredients were very fresh, and we walked by a series of aquariums with local oysters, lobster, etc. ready for customers choices for dinner. She does vegan as well. A wonderful day with wonderful food. They will provide a shuttle to the restaurant from the area big hotels, or you can grab a local taxi for 500 TBH. Just call or text for the shuttle. They will also deliver. Local T. 082 81 48 48 2 sanancmk@gmail.com (Another posting here has it wrong I believe.)

5 of us went to do the cooking class and had a great time. Our 14 year old and 11 year old really enjoyed themselves and the food they prepared, even with the heat (hottest month of the year and no Air conditioning). Our host (and owner) picked us up from our nearby hotel and she and her staff treated us like family the whole time we were in their care. The setting of the restaurant is serene and authentic and the food was wonderful. We had done a cooking class in Bangkok 18 months ago at a similar cost, but unlike that experience, THIS time we had a TON of food to take away after. The staff wrapped everything and even labeled it so everyone could eat their own specially prepared dish later if they chose. A memorable experience that we highly recommend!

P.S. Be warned; it is an open air restaurant - they have large fans, but it was very hot, especially with several fires going for the woks we used for cooking.

Great class with the chef, Ton(very warm and interesting person!), you choose 4 dishes and she shows you how to make them, with your participation of course! Beautiful outdoor place in the trees. When over, you enjoy a fantastic lunch and get to take the leftovers! It's enough for another meal. Highly recommend

A friend and I took a private cooking class with Chef Ton and had a great time! The class isn't 100% hands on (many items are pre-cut etc), but this allowed us to have a relaxed time while doing enough 'hands on' cooking to experience and know how the dishes should look as they are cooking etc.

You can select any 4 dishes off the menu and we definitely had more than enough to eat at the end of the class. In fact, we took a lot back to the hotel as it was too delicious to leave and the portions were too large to finish!

BTW - Chef Ton actually won the first version of Thailand's masterchef competition and used the winning to build kindee! A definite bonus as she can share lots of stories about her experience as well!!
