Around 16 km south of Kasaragod in Northern Kerala and on the shores of Arabian sea lies the massive Bekal Fort. It is among the largest forts in Kerala and has been impeccably maintained. Built using laterite slabs and with a polygonal shape, the fort rises 130 feet above sea level and is situated on a headland spanning 35km. An observation tower fitted with beautiful peepholes, the Anjenaya Temple with its famous masonry, and two Theyyam sculptures built from laterite are among the primary attractions of the fort. Much effort has been taken to develop a beautiful beach here called the Bekal Fort Beach.

Delighted to see maintained landscape at very cheap price.. Charging Rs.10 per person entry is worth it when you get decent facilities and cleanliness.. Very clean beautiful beach and nicely maintained.. children park also make it a family with young children must visit place.. Enjoy sun set and sun rise.. Walk on the beach trail and enjoy the beauty of sea shore.. Fort visible from the sea shore also makes you happy:)

The place is cool to spend an evening at. The view is great and bekal fort is visible from here. But avoid noon, it gets very hot.

Had a good time with kids. The park is 500 mts distant from Bekal fort.
The entry fee is 10 INR for people aged >5 years..
The park has a very big parking facility. The amenities inside the park is also good.Lot of stores to get snacks, juice, tea etc.
Camel ride, horse car etc are some attractions apart from Kids play area.
The beach is clean and not much crowded. Not suggested for swimming.Warning is provided not to enter the sea and it's too deep.

Best time to visit is evening time between Nov to Mar month.
