“Amazing facilities and lovely owners ”
Reviewed 16 September 2015 for a stay in September 2015

We had a lovely stay here for my 30th birthday last week. The location and facilities are fantastic, and great for the dog.
Upon arrival no one was around to show us how to use hot water etc which was a little frustrating but Carol Ann did answer her phone and did explain how to work. Just meant we had to wait 30mins before a bath for our son.

The fire is gorgeous along with the views from this cottage. The kitchen is very well supplied too, which is really handy and great to have a dishwasher !
The carpets all looked very new and fresh , but the sofa looked like it was on its last legs, so I was glad we took our own throw to sit on. ( I am a bit of a clean freak)
I do think that if there had of been 6 of us , like the cottage is made for , it would have been a tight squeeze, the bedrooms are very small, we struggled to put our travel cot up in our room!
The bathroom was the worse thing about this cottage, it's tiny, when you sit on the loo, your knees touch the bath, again if there had of been a family of 6, I imagine this is a real struggle. Because of the size it was very difficult to bath our son , as there wasn't really anywhere to kneel down . Saying that it was very clean and nice quality bathroom just the layout is not user friendly.

The pool and children's play area are great, we didn't get a chance to checkout the games room but I imagine it would be just as great.

The outside area to the back of cottages was lovely with tables to watch the sunset.
The hall way felt really cold , so I imagine in the winter it's freezing, would be great to have a big door curtain to keep the heat in and cold draft out.

Thanks for a great stay, we would return but probably to a different cottage. I do feel this one maybe needs a little updating in places. (Cupboard doors in bedroom half painted, sofa etc)

Oh and William to dog is gorgeous, our pup is really scared of other dogs after a bad attack last year , and although William came to say hello , he kept his distance and allowed our Marley his space. William did however want to join in all the BBQ's lol greedy doggie!

All in all this is a great group of cottages and facilities great, but bear in mind the size of this cottages bedrooms and bathroom.

Thank you very much for your excellent comprehensive review. These cottages are small which is why they are 3* and priced accordingly. Although on these websites you have to put a maximum number (6 in this case) we would never in practice let it to more than 2/3 adults and 3 children. If the children were beyond about 14 we would be very clear with the guest at the point of booking that room is limited in the bedrooms. Agree entirely about the sofas they have seen out their useful life this summer season and a new better quality suite is on it's way.
Glad you enjoyed your stay and hope to see you again.
