“Good Location for Disneyland Paris”
Reviewed 24 December 2011

This was the first time we had gone to Paris and not stayed within metro zone 1/2. Accomodation was large but fairly old, any problems (sofa collapsed) were sorted quickly. Nice to have a very spacious property instead of small hotel room in centre of Paris.
It is not very convenient to visit Paris (drive to TGV station at Disney Village and take RER), takes approx 55 minutes.

Marriott Village is not signposted as such, you need to look for the "Hotel de Golf" but otherwise the village of Bailly-Romainvilliers was fine, Carrefour supermarket and patisserie within walking distance in the centre. Val d'Europe shopping centre and outlet mall near to Disneyland.

Good location to visit Disneyland, park at the TGV station rather than Disneyland's own parking as nearer and cheaper. Both Disneyland parks smaller than Orlando and quite easy to see everything within two days, don't buy three or four day tickets as waste of money as you will be bored. Enjoy.

Room Tip: Long walk if on far side or resort from entrance.

over-all, we enjoyed this Marriott Vacation Club very much. I've been to two others and I liked them all. There were some issues with the property. For example, several things were broken and some lights were out. But I brought these things to the attention of management and they were taken care of. It wasn't convenient to visit Paris frequently but I knew that before I decided to go. Paris is do-able but taking the shuttle and train it take about an hour to get to Chateau Les Halles station. Still, I've been to Paris several times and it was nice having a large two bedroom condo as opposed to a tiny hotel room in the center of Paris. Also, the little village was nearby and there was an excellent Patisserie and a Carrefour a half mile away. I also have to mention that Disney Studios is a total waste of time. There were just a couple of attractions worth checking out. Disneyland was very similar to Disneyland in Anaheim but I loved checking it out and noticing the little differences. Phantom Mansion was similar to the Haunted Mansion but was different enough to make it worth the visit.

Room Tip: Sections of the hotel had their own names. Ours was located past reception. I don't recall the n...

A little bit difficult to find the resort the first time as the typical Marriott Vacation Club logo is missing, On the street level one finds only Residence du Golfe. As previously said by other reviewers, not exactly the best location for sightseeing Paris unless you have a car and visit on weekends, else it takes too long to the center. But for Disney visits and high-end shopping outlets the location is great.
During wintertime, the townhouses are rather cold, they should prepare them and heat beforehand, the fridge should be running as well beforehand. The small bathroom on the groundfloor is missing a wastebin (thinking of women's needs). Whereas the full bathrooms on the first floor are not ventilated, which can be seen on the musty windowframe as it can't be opened. The resort itself does not offer any onsite activities like fitness classes for adults as in other Marriott Vacation resorts, only a mini kids club..
Overrall nice and spacious though, would recommend it.

Room Tip: Townhouses around the outside pool have a nicer view, at least a view of the golf ground

Stayed here on a Time Share Exchange for a visit to Paris. Not a good idea.Too much time to get in and out of Paris with/without a car.Great location though for Shopping Trip to Val d'Europe , or for a Disney Visit,or for a Golf Holiday or just R&R at a nice resort in the country.Only complaints were a "smelly" fridge which was corrected on the second maintence person visit,no instructions on different HVAC and appliance use rules from North America, and not the most friendly concierges. But the Townhouse Unit was very spacious and nicely appointed. Our Unit was a good walk though from the Resort Centre with Fitness Centre and Pool,Grocery Store,Reception,Concierge and Snack Bar and there are stairs in the Unit so be prepared for that. Any "nearby" restaurants(none on the resort) are a good walk or drive away.Although taxis and shuttles are available, they are not always timely so if I was to stay there again I would rent a car. Also, screens for the windows would be a good addition to the Units tp keep out the bugs. Finally, some staff were very friendly and helpul and some not so friendly and helpful.

Room Tip: If you like to be near the Resort Centre with fitness centre, pool, bar, grocery store, say so when book...

I have been at this resort before many years ago and noted a steep decline, unfortunatly.

The internet connection is expensive and very low in quality. Every charge that can be made is made, down to the shuttle service which is more than double the price of ordinary public trnasportation. The kitchen is useless (no cooking facilities, only reheating and not even a sharp knife for making a salad. Only the very basic for serving a bought meal)

Having said all that, the place is still very beautiful and the cleanliness is above and beyond all standard.

The best thing is the polite, positive efficient and pleasant staff at the reception desk.
All of them!

I, for one, will stay away.

Room Tip: don't take a studio at the top!

Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback on Trip Advisor. I apologize the kitchen facilities did not meet your needs. Please know the resort offers multiple villa types including full kitchens. I have addressed your concerns regarding the resort fees with the management team to make them aware of your feedback.

We hope you will consider visiting the resort again in the future. Please let me know if I can provide assistance with your future reservations.
