We loved it, very friendly and welcoming hosts and a beautiful loft with lots of excellent and thoughtful recommendations for things to do and see.

It was cold during our February stay and there's no regular central heating, but Anna was really helpful and the lovely big fire and the underfloor heating were good, along with a super-cosy amazing electric blanket.

Really different, full of character. We'd come again.

A very cosy and comfortable place to stay in a fabulous location. Set a in picturesque village with wonderful walks from the door, the cottage offers everything you want from a rural retreat. Very clean and well equipped, the large sitting/dining/kitchen room was a lovely place to cook, eat, relax and enjoy the fire.
Our host was very welcoming and helpful. The cottage felt very private and not over looked by other nearby homes and we slept peacefully in the comfy bed. This is a place I would like to return to and would recommend to others.

“Cosy, comfortable and great for walking”
Reviewed 4 January 2014 for a stay in December 2013

We stayed in Weavers Loft, above the cottage, for a week after Christmas. A wam welcome from the owners, Anna and Chris, was a good start to the holiday. The whole house is very old, set in a beautiful village with steep hills either side, perfect for long walks (long muddy wet walks in our case). Weavers Loft has a lovely big light living area, with wood-burner, and two small bedrooms - one double and one bunks, and two bathrooms (his and hers). It's got everything you need for a comfortable stay, and great base for exploring the area - not only good walking but historical houses and gardens, galleries and an excellent cafe at the end of the road. Highly recommend.
