I have stayed in 7 different hotels in Karon Beach, Phuket. No need to look further, I don't go for the huge resort hotels because they don't have a warm feeling and staff find it hard to remember you, so I find smaller hotels that do this for me. Ramada is one of those hotels, not small by any means yet far from the big ones. This hotel is beautiful, from the first impressions of the entry and atrium through to the view of the central pool, turn around and your looking straight onto the beach. Great location as well, across the road to the beach, security stop traffic and there is a boardwalk to the sand, i think it's the best beach in Phuket, not crowded and very few hawkers to annoy you with selling items. Around the corner you have Patak Rd, where you will find great restaurants and some bars to enjoy your time in tropical Phuket. The hotel has a very good restaurant as well, although you save some cash by walking to the strip. Breakfast is beautiful and is open late enough to still get a good sleep in and not miss out. I will be staying here again, in fact I have booked my wedding here at their roof top garden for next year, recommending all our guests stay here, and for this the General manager has given us some great rates to entice...I have stayed in 7 different hotels in Karon Beach, Phuket.
