This is a brand new, modern and nice hotel in quiet surroundings.

Restaurants are within a 20-25 minute walk.

The hotel is clean, the staff is friendly and the food is good.

Contact reception to arrange a Shuttle from the airport or og by taxi. According to friends of mine it is awkward/time consuming to get to the hotel from airport by bus.

Dear Mr. Roger,

Thank you for you comment!

We hope you enjoyed your stay and to we would love to see you again in our hotel! It is always easier to contact reception for arranging a transfer for you as it is much quicker and cheaper.

If you don't mind being away from the beach/ seaside this is a great hotel to relax at, it's clean, comfortable and affordable. Service is good and they provide comfy slippers and bathrobes to relax in. Which is really nice after a hot shower following a long day of travelling/ sightseeing. There is also a gym which has the basics, indoor pool and jacuzzi. We had a stop over here so can't comment on long stays.

Driving up to the hotel for the first time, I was surprised to see how isolated this place is. A bit of a run down town and you can forget about other restaurants.

Hotel however is brand spanking new. Nice reception with good service.

Rooms are great, very modern with nice size bathrooms. The shower is not particularly powerful.

Nice pool and spa.

The problems with this place are as follows:
- food is dreadful. Believe the other reviews
- in the middle of nowhere. You can get a bus which takes 25 mins to get to Split. You have to as there is nothing else to do otherwise.
- there were no other guests! So, so quiet.
- the service was poor as the staff are bored as they have so little to do.

A few people we talked to about the place described the hotel as a travelodge with a little bit of style.
That describes this perfectly - this is a stopover not a long stay

Dear,

Thank you for your comment! We have to notify that Salona Palace is a small luxury resort and we really do not see how being quiet on a vacation can be bad. Also, hotel is located at the entrance to archaeological park, bus stop, supermarket, pharmacy and bakery are in front of if. Other restaurants are on 10 minutes walking distance or 3 minutes drive away. Shopping mall is 5 minutes drive away from the hotel and old town area is less then 20 minutes away. We would really love too see you again to improve the impression.

A wonderful 7 night stay in Split.
Whilst the hotel is about 20 mins from old town city center, it was a lovely stay! Best way to get around from the hotel is by Uber which cost approximately 65kuna to the city center (half the price of a taxi)

The staff at Hotel Salona were absolutely wonderful assisting in every way they could from booking tours, providing chargers, recommending places to go and how to get around even ordering delivery for us after hours! They were always smiling and so helpful!

The hotel itself is lovely and new, very clean and comfortable.

The pool area is great however we didn't really use it as we spent most time at the beach. The hotel provides free shuttle daily to Joes Beach and provides a discount voucher for sun beds which we took advantage of and had a great time as it is a lovely beach and has an amazing sunset!

Right next door to the hotel is the Salona ruins which is worth a visit.

Although for us the hotel was a bit out of the way in terms of location we thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would recommend Hotel Salona Palace.

The hotel is extremely clean and modern. The hotel staff especially reception ream are all very helpful.

The location was perfect for what we wanted. If you want to visit Split or Trogir you can be at either in around 20 mins.

I would highly recommend using Uber as the taxi from the airport was 250 Croatian but using Uber it was only 100.

We had breakfast included which had a great variety of juices, smoothies and hot drinks. Food options from Toast, cereal and croissants with cooked eggs and sausages.

We had lunch by the pool sandwich and a salad both very tasty and reasonably priced.

As part of the package we had a complimentary meal. I did have to ask 3 times about vegetarian options but the food was excellent.

The hotel has an indoor pool, outdoor pool, hot tub and sauna. You are also provided with slippers and a dressing gown.

Though the area is quiet you can see alot of very interesting history literally at the end of the car park.

I would have given this hotel 5 stars but I think there is room for improvement. Our room did not have a room service menu or a price list for the spa.

A complementary bottle of water would be a nice touch.

The bed was solid both my husband and I found it very uncomfortable.

Also it would be nice to be offered a room with a bath to compensate for the uncomfortable bed.

Dear,

Thank you for your comment!

It is nice to hear you enjoyed your stay and we appreciate all the feedback you gave us. Regarding the room service and wellness price list you should know that new info book is being made so next time when you arrive it wil be 5 stars service. Regarding the beds, it is the first time somebody said something negative about the beds because they are specially made for our hotel to fit everybody's taste. Also, if you wish something extra you should just mention it and and we would make it for you. :)

Best regards!
