I booked this room online for 2 days stay with my family at holy place. The front desk manager was a nice man and our check in was very smooth. Room is very big, extra bed easily be accommodated, AC for summer and Heater for winter is available in room. Bathroom is clean. Parking facility is also available. Complimentary breakfast had very limited menu but tasty and hygienic. Overall stay was good. Some other good option also available such as Shri Sridhar Ashram, Ram darbar and Ramayan Kuti.

Room tip: First floor rooms are newly constructed.

Its a good place for staying in chitrakoot. This place is well in the heart of city.We can move everywhere in Chitrakoot. Being religious place every person should prefer to stay here. It is adjoining to Ram Ghat and is in the Centre Chitrakoot religious places to visit.

Anything government owned is associated with inefficiency and user-unfriendliness, but my first experience with the MP Tourist Department hotel was quite good. I made the booking online - which was a very positive beginning.

Check-in was smooth. The room was good with clean linen and towels. The minimum toilet amenities were provided.

Rooms were kind of oddly-designed - without windows. There was small window in the dressing room but had opaque panes which would not let any natural light in.

Food at the restaurant was reasonably good. Though we were not presented any bills to be signed but the accounting at check-out time was accurate. However, it would be a good idea for the hotel management to get bills signed in the restaurant.

Location of the hotel is steps away from the River and the main temple which has the evening prayers (though Chitrakoot is a very small town anyway).

I believe this is the best place to stay in Chitrakoot.

The property is very close to Ram Ghat (walking distance) where the evening aarti is conducted (7:00pm onwards). It's a very clean property and we stayed in the family room ( 5 beds and 2 ACs) with clean linen and good washroom. Must stay if you are visiting Chitrakoot.

Room tip: Be careful of monkeys hanging from trees
