Palau is not famous for it's sleeping accommodations. Outside Koror state there are very few. But this is one of the pearls on the east side of the island. It is next to the state office on a small stretch of a clean beach. It has very nice view for the sunsets as well. Normally there are enough cabins and you may just go there and the owner will set your's up pretty fast for 1-2 hours.
The cabins have all the necessary cooking amenities - a stove, a fridge, kitchen utensils.
The place is more than recommended.

I really enjoyed my stay at the Bungalows for two weeks total. They are pretty small, but have everything you might need for a short stay - with a mini kitchenette and fridge for cooking. Melekeok is much quieter than Koror but the amazing people and pristine beach make it feel much more like a tropical paradise than any hotels in Koror. There are sandy beaches, snorkeling from the shore and a small restaurant down the street serves delicious lunches! I highly recommend taking some time in Melekeok if you are planning a trip to Palau to get a rustic and beautiful escape from busy Koror!

I stayed two nights and three days at Palau Beach Bungalows and it was incredible. It was the closest thing to paradise I've experienced, in a much calmer way than you get at the bigger resorts. I would spend each morning walking along the beach or out on the pier, did a long hike up to the capitol building which is a great site to see, and at meal times would be served fruit and tasty meat right outside my room with a view of the ocean. The owner and her family are wonderful, they picked me up in Koror and drove me to the airport and each way I learned so much about Palaun culture- a big highlight to my trip! Definitely worth a visit! You can also get wifi next door at the government office.

These bungalows are little far away from the action in Koror and the speed bumps on the road are an annoyance. But they're cheap and an experience. Dont' expect these to be anything but rugged. The bed was a foam mat on a makeshift wood frame. There is no hot water for a shower but it was fine. The pier across the road is a great experience too.
