Just returned from a fantastic holiday. Went with family and dog ..... Finding so many different places to walk / explore and meet the locals ! Walking to the bolongerie daily with our Labrador was a delightful start to the day. The villa ,for filled all our needs from playing table tennis etc to sitting in the garden and BBQ to ending the day on very comfortable beds !! The caretaker, Marie Christine was extremely helpful and offered a very warm welcome to us all nothing was to much trouble . I would recommend this villa for all ages a truly relaxing experience .

“Large, comfortable, well looked after - everything just worked”
Reviewed 9 August 2016 for a stay in July 2016

Huelgoat is a good base to explore Brittany within easy reach of the northern and western coasts as well as being a destination in its own right with excellent restaurants and good walking countryside. We were unlucky with the weather having cloud and rain on most days and only 3 days of sunshine in two weeks (during July/August). Good weather would have encouraged us to use the large garden more with its numerous facilities (badminton, table-tennis, BBQ etc), but in spite of the weather we all had a good time.

The house itself is very well looked after with sufficient hot water for our group of 8 and good internet. there are only two bathrooms (one with shower and one with bath) which we thought might be a problem with 3 teenage girls, but in practice it was fine.

The owners are very helpful and put a lot of effort into making guests feel comfortable and get the most out of the area.

“Great House and Garden”
Reviewed 9 August 2015 for a stay in July 2015

Two families with teenage children stayed here for a week. We all enjoyed the house and garden. The children loved the Pool table and the table tennis table. Nice outside sitting area with BBQ (if the weather is nice)
We did find the second double bed too small for big tall adults and felt that an extra toilet would be useful when you have so many grown ups in the house.
The caretaker was very helpful especially when we had someone poorly in the group. She helped us sort the Dr out.
Nice and close to the supermarket and easy to walk into town.

“Great for children but”
Reviewed 5 August 2015 for a stay in May 2015

the kitchen was not really good enough for the number of people. With young children eating out is not an always an option and the oven/hob was only just adequate for the 6 adults and 4 children. Cooking equipment was lacking for that number of people as not all of us want to barbecue our food.

The care takers were really helpful and the place was clean.

“Great house and great location”
Reviewed 15 September 2014 for a stay in August 2014

A very clean, large and imposing house in peaceful generous grounds, and within easy strolling distance of the town centre, the supermarket and the lake walks. It is thoughtfully and fully equipped - particularly the kitchen - and offers comfort and space with a slightly quirky - but delightful - character and style. There is heaps of user and local information provided, the hot water in the two bathrooms seems unlimited, and all sorts of equipment for outdoor games is available. It is probably best-suited for a couple of families with a clutch of kids, but we - 5 single adults - were able to make ourselves pretty comfortable. You will be looked after - but never bothered - by a delightful and English-speaking caretaker who lives nearby and who filled the fridge with a very generous 'welcome pack'. You can arrive and be immediately fed and watered. A great deal of care has gone into preparing this let for visitors and our only real problem was drying our shoes and outdoor clothes - as we were exceptionally unlucky with the weather. (There is a electric dryer in the garage, but maybe some drying racks will appear.) But it's definitely a fabulous place to choose if you want space and a really good level of comfort. Booking, and liaising with the owners, was entirely easy and trouble-free.
