The hotel has a large car park which it partly shares with The Bowman pub. Once through into reception I was warmly greeted and checked in. To get to my room I had to walk through reception to the quadrangle behind. On later passes through reception I was always politely asked to show my room key - a nice security touch.
My room was on the first floor, it was clean and the bed was extremely comfortable as advertised. The hotel uses the nearby pub for breakfasts which was also very friendly and well worth the money. I ate there too every evening of my stay. Up the road is a large Tesco which proved useful
My room overlooked the pub so I did get a lot of noise as customers came and went late in the evening - it was my choice to have the window open.
I would note that the hotel's three security cameras appeared to be focused on the pub rather than on the hotel's part of the car park, which I found curious.More
