Lovely villa in a simply beautiful location. Private and secluded, you are surrounded by Sicilian flora and fauna, with 360 degree views of the sea, the mountains and the Zingaro National Park. Zingaro is just a short walk from the villa, as is the lovely cove of Cala Mazzo di Sciacca, where the snorkelling is fantastic - bring your snorkel and mask!
Adriana is a kind and thoughtful owner. The villa is a family property and we were enchanted to hear about her stays there as a child with her Mum, Brother and Nonna. The original wood oven is still in use in the external "rustic" kitchen. It was wonderful to hear about her cooking and preparing food out there with her Grandmother, it really made the villa feel like a family home rather than just another rental property. Adriana is passionate about the local area and very knowledgeable. She is eager to help arrange any trips to ensure that you have the best time and get the best value for money. She wants to look after her guests.
For Scopello a hire car is highly recommended as it is fairly rural - which is the attraction. There is a steep unmade up drive to the villa, you soon get used to negotiating this both in the car and on foot. The village is a short and very pretty walk away. Scopello is just wonderful and very relaxed.
We will definitely be staying in this lovely villa again and can't wait to go back.
I stayed here with my partner and a friend for four nights. The villa is in a beautiful situation about 1km outside of Scopello, with unrestricted, beautiful views of the bay and easy access to the beach. The outside shower is very useful when returning from the beach.
Adriana was very helpful during and after check in. She carefully explained how things worked, where the shops are, what trips we might find interesting etc. She really seemed to tune in to the kind of things we liked.
We particularly liked the large, eating out terrace. We didn't try out the BBQ facility but would have loved to do so on a longer stay. The kitchen was well equipped and the cooker was easy to operate. So we were able to have fun preparing some nice meals and eat with great views.
I would describe the accommodation as simple and comfortable rather than luxurious. This is not a criticism. But I can imagine that it might not suit two couples sharing who needed privacy/ separate bathrooms etc. For we three guys, however, that was not a problem at all. So thank you Adriana for a lovely stay in a beautiful part of Sicily.
