“The most wonderful setting for a relaxing holiday”
Reviewed 2 March 2016 for a stay in September 2015

This was the perfect place for us to stay and totally chill. The apartment comes with it's own shaded terrace so we could choose the sun or shade and sit and relax with views of the river. The garden area has lovely colourful displays of flowers and It was so peaceful and yet in just a few minutes walk we were in the town so able to easily stroll to the lovely restaurants, shops (including supermarket) and the buzzing Sunday market. The medieval town has lots of nooks and crannies to explore with amazing architecture. There were so many picturesque views around each corner, plus the elegant bridge mirrored on the river Aveyron and spectacular views from the Roc d'Anglar (thank heavens for digital cameras!!). The apartment had everything we could possibly need - such great thought had been put in by Carolyn and a wonderfully warm welcome. We really felt like we had moved into our own new home for the week - such a pleasant spacious apartment to stay in, we were sorry to leave. We will definitely be back and there is still more for us to explore in the area - the walk to the caves, kayaking on the river, and lots of lovely drives out if you choose to. That is, if we manage to drag ourselves away from this lovely apartment / garden next time....!

“Great apartment in a beautiful setting ”
Reviewed 29 February 2016 for a stay in June 2015

I stayed in this lovely apartment for a week away with my mother and son. Carolyn was a fantastic host and went out of her way to make us comfortable. Saint Antonin is a beautifully picturesque French village and our accommodation didn't disappoint. The apartment is a 5 minute walk from the village, yet the apartment is very secluded and peaceful. It had everything we needed from utensils and crockery and plenty of bedding to a lovely little patio area where we sat out and drunk wine before making our way into the village for dinner. it's been newly renovated so there's an immaculate bathroom and kitchen and the place was clean and nicely furnished. The house is set right on the river, which most mornings my son and I walked down to for a paddle. I even managed to get his grandma to go for a dip! The apartment is also a very short walk away from the local outdoor swimming pool (which was clean and very reasonable!) I highly recommend this apartment, we had a truly memorable and authentically French break. We will most definitely be back!

“What a view”
Reviewed 29 February 2016 for a stay in August 2015

Stayed late in August in this lovely apartment for a week. The apartment had everything we needed to make this a home from home. Outside it was roasting but inside the apartment was lovely and cool. We ate outside on the covered terrace. When we needed a dip to cool off we had a choice of swimming/ paddling in the river or a dip in the local outdoor pool that was a delight to Swim in whilst looking a the most astonishing view. A view you never get bored of, which is a good job because this is the uninterrupted view that the apartment has.

The apartment is well equipped. Beds are really comfortable. Great to have a washing machine and dishwasher. Freezer for your ice and ice cream . You are minutes from the centre of the village, river beach and pool. Prefect location.

St Antonin is a really beautiful village with plenty of places to eat and drink. However the Sunday market is my favourite experience. Amazing produce, we carried back to the apartment and enjoyed on the barbecue for serveral days! The cheese is delicious. Good local wines to wash it down with!

We visited Albi, Cahors both of which were worth while and easy to get to. We hired a car from Toulouse. Plugged in the sat nav and had no problems finding out way ! Think if you want to get out and about a car is essential but if you just want to canoe or fish or just relax in Sst Antonin you can. We did the four hour canoe trip from the end of the road. The views were lovely and you don't need to be a canoe expert to do it. However, you do need a reasonable level of fitness. If you have a partner who loves to fish as mine does then you can get a licence and fish from the garden!

We will be going back to this lovely apartment, to relax ,fish (l'll relax my partner will fish) and enjoy the view.
