This hotel was pleasant. I liked the warm open log fire at reception & enjoyed a cosy ambience both on the landings & in the room. Deer antlers on the walls in public spaces & old paintings along with low lighting created an charming atmosphere. Weak point, while breakfast was good, dinner was generous but uninteresting. The staff were friendly, warm & welcoming.
If you visit here from Ireland with GTI, here's some advice: the scenery from Salzburg to here is AMAZING, snow capped mountain peaks. As you will be travelling by minibus & your luggage is towed on a trailor, make sure if you are seated in the isle that you have someone you can give your camera to when you want to take photos of this beautiful landscape as you will NOTHING. Also if you are tall the window seats are cramped.More
