Even after travelling to Buley a few times now this place still makes me go 'wow'. Beautiful cascading pools that concertina into one another. Have to be a little careful as the current is truly strong and will shoot you down the pools if you're not careful. Side note - there isn't any bins (what I could see) in the carpark or surrounds. Please take your rubbish with you to keep this spot as it should be!

Make sure not to miss it. Such a great experience especially in this hot climate. It's usually very popular but there is enough place for everyone ( just go upstream) to have your own space and enjoy the day.

I'd seen photos before we went, and wondered what all the fuss was about. When we got there, I saw what all the fuss was about. You can't get a good photo of all of it because it's a whole stack of rock pools of varying sizes, clustered, tiered, with a fairly shallow gradient between each...so it doesn't photograph as easily as a waterfall. We were surprised at how many pools there are, and water flows through them. Rocks, greenery, clear flowing water. Nature has outdone herself with this place!

Because it's wet season (Feb) there are signs up saying closed to swimming due to strong currents. But the day we were there we noticed some of the pools on one side didn't have the raging torrents going through them and there were people having a dip in these slower flowing parts. Hardly anyone there, so was very tranquil. Stunning setting. Had a pool to ourselves for a while with not a soul in sight - such a special experience. I imagine peak season is different.

One of my favourite places in the whole of Australia, lovely area to rest and relax, with lovely cool water to relax in. Kids loved jumping from the rocks into the pools and there was plenty of space to relax and have a picnic. So peaceful and beautiful.

On arrival, Buley Rockhole is simply stunning, the kind of place you see in movies but don't expect to find in real life. Several pools step down the mountain with the most refreshing water flowing from one to the next. It was beautiful. My only concern was the lack of rangers around for safety reasons. At one point the current almost washed me over the edge into the pool below. There were also people jumping off a ledge into the rockpools. It's so rocky and so deep that an idiot could really get themselves in trouble! Definitely worth a dip.
