“Excellent food - worth walking that little bit further”

We had eaten at several restuarants in Koukounaries which had been fine and came across Cookoonri during the daytime and thought the menu looked a little different.
Made a conscious effort to head here for an evening meal - newly opened and further down past the main restaurants, so you could miss it / may not be aware it was there.
Nice restaurant with excellent food - a bruschetta to start was a large enough portion to share and tasted great. Mains of moussaka and stuffed tenderloin were delicious. Complimentary desserts, on our vist, were a nice touch. Maybe a euro or so more expensive but the quality was worth it. Will definitely visit again.....probably this evening! Give it a try and walk that bit further so you don't miss great food.

Happened upon this restaurant a few days into our holiday. So glad we did, as the food was excellent. It only opened at the beginning of this week so don't let the lack of reviews put you off. Located a short walk along the main road past the other restaurants. Walk that little bit further, you won't be disappointed. Off there tonight for our 3rd visit this week. Food is well priced with ample portion sizes.

We have had read the glowing Trip Advisor reviews for the parent restaurant, Cookoonari, in Skiathos Town, but have never got round to eating at it. Now that it has a new offshoot in Koukounaries, which is where we always stay when we visit Skiathos, we were eager to try out the new restaurant.

We are glad that we did. The food is superb ! We visited on the second night after it had opened and had shared bread and dips, a shared Greek Salad, a Moussaka (which was the dish of the day), and a lamb dish, with half a litre of house red wine, All were truly excellent and amazingly the total bill only came to 37 euros for two !

Quality food, excellent service, in a beautiful quiet setting, set back from the road and amazing value.

Highly recommended. Give it a go ! We will be back next year.

This restaurant has only just opened and we went on the second night. The food was Greek style with a modern twist beautifully cooked, well presented with fantastic service, the staff are very attentive and their aim is to provide a wonderful dining experience with a romantic feel. We would not hesitate in recommending eating here if you want a great evening and we will be returning soon
