We stayed here for the second of our two week holiday recently, with friends. The hotel is lovely and the staff are mostly very friendly. We had a lovely cleaner who was cheerful & friendly. The bar and reception staff were also friendly & helpful. The weather was not great for 2-3 days unfortunately but that did mean we made use of the indoor pool & spa which was a blessing. It was really lovely and very clean. Our room was on the lower ground floor with a beach view, which was great, It was fun watching the ships sailing by and hearing the sea although there were lots of mosquitos so we mostly had to keep our doors closed. There were problems with rubbish collection in Corfu so unfortunately the walks around the hotel were somewhat spoiled by having to pass piles of (very smelly) rubbish, but this was the same all over the island sadly. The surrounding area was not terribly attractive which is a shame as the hotel grounds are lovely & very well maintained. Our bathroom was great with good lighting and plenty of amenities, fresh towels daily and frequent clean bedding. We only had to ask our cleaner if we needed anything and she was really helpful. My biggest complaint about the area in general is that in order to get the bus into Corfu you have to cross a very busy major road, it could put some people off venturing out, although we did get a cab into Corfu once or twice which was reasonably priced for the four of us but would not be so great for just two people. There are not too many places to eat within safe walking distance - we walked to the Marina a few times where there is more choice but sometimes found we could not find a cab coming back and the walk in the dark is not much fun with traffic passing although for this one does not have to cross the busy main road, so that's a good thing!
All in all this is a lovely hotel but not in a great area for exploring, unless I suppose you like serious walking. There did seem to be a few guests staying with all their walking gear but personally we enjoyed the sunbathing areas, the private beaches and most of all the great views!

Room tip: Sea view recommended

Very beautiful and well run resort conveniently close to Corfu town and to the Ferry terminal and Airport. In addition to taxi or rental car ride the resort can be reached by a public bus (#7) from the Korfu town (San Rocco square). Only a five minute walk from the main road bus stop; on the way you might encounter a happy fluffy cat with a deformed front paw; give the cutie a soft scratch.

Resort lounges, gardens and other areas and also all facilities were contemporary, clean and generally high-quality. Pleanty of comfy seats and relaxing open spaces. There is a library / internet room where you can print out your boarding passes or other important documents that you might need.

Service is absolutely superb. I contacted Customer relations prior to our arrival and got only perfect respond and once we arrived I found in our room a surprise gift related to my original enquiry. That really made me feel a valued guest. Thank you all once more!
Another (standard) gift for all is a bottle of local red wine that was actually pretty good too.

About the room; intially we had booked a room facing the front garden but instead, again as a pleasant surprise, our room was upgraded to the seafront side. We had a private terrace with a view to the sea just behind the well trimmed grassy knoll.

That being said, the gardens all over were perfectly looked after and just in front of our terrace there was a charming cat family each day playing around (bunch of super-cute kittens)! We noticed also at least one more cat family underneath the stairs to the Spa. The resort gardener was taking exceptionally good care of the cats by feeding them and fixing their shelter. We were absolutely heart-warmed by the love that the resort expressed to these purrfect animals!

Ok, more about our room: the decor was modern and definitely spacious enough. Good sized bed. The pillows were quite thick and hence perhaps not the most ergonomic. Plenty of room for clothes and a comfortable sofa. Clean toilet and shower. Soft bath robe, good slippers and complimentary bathroom amenities (that were good quality, not generic hotel slop).
The air conditioner was far from perfect and especially the air ventilation in the shower room was non-existing: the moisture was trapped in the shower / toilet leaving all items wet and gave no chance for the towels to dry.

We had a B&B deal. The breakfast buffet is very very good. I've had many 'all inclusive' food deals before but this was absolutely top level: fresh and tasty fruits, savory and sweet delights. American and greek style offering.
Our check-out was in early hours and we received a box of cold breakfast that was huge - we could have survived a couple of days with the goods we had.
Each night we had dinner outside; there's a few very good restaurants within 5-20 minute walk (try Kepkyra, Telesilla and especially Harry's Taverna).

The seawater pool is placed nicely on the edge of upper level where one can relax on good sunbeds or observe what is going on at the beach or bar below. The beach is divided into two separate areas (the beach bar / restaurant being in the middle). Good sunbeds and shades on the beach. Each spot has a buzzer for calling service.

The Spa is also nice. Each guest is entitled to complimentary 15-minute massage. The treatment was OK; you can choose how hard handling you can tolerate. Cool herb tea at the end was interesting.

Resort offers also a free shuttle bus to and from the Korfu Town (when booked beforehand from the reception); departure from the resort each morning at 9.30 and return from the town at 13.30.

Room tip: Seafront room is a must.

This is the best hotel we've stayed in. It deserves the 5 stars. There were extras that gave it the edge over other hotels we've experienced. For example, there is a daily courtesy bus you can book a day ahead that takes guests into Corfu Town which is about 15 minutes away. it departs at 9.30 and leaves the town 4 hrs later, giving you plenty of time to explore the town. The spa at the hotel is free to all guests, but you can also book massages etc for which you pay. Although, all guests are offered a free 15 min massage. We had one and found it very relaxing. There is an outside pool and a private beach with towels. Bath robes and slippers are also provided. We were on B & B basis and filled up on the breakfasts which had plenty of cooked as well as cold buffet selections. There were good tavernas nearby for evening meals. The staff were extremely helpful. If we wanted more tea/coffee/milk etc for the room, they replenished our stock very quickly. There was a chargeable mini bar, but best of all there was a complementary bottle of red wine awaiting us in our room on arrival. The grounds are beautifully kept. Taxis can be organised and trips as well. We will return!

Room tip: You can have a garden view room.

Eight people of advanced years booked into the Kontali Bay hotel for week's stay in September. We were made very welcome. The rooms were spotlessly clean. The views terrific. Each room received a bottle of water and one of wine. Wifi and room safe were included. The breakfast was excellent offering plenty of choice. The pool beaches and spa were lovely. Reception and Guest Relations offer good advice about trips etc.
The only downside was a plague of mosquitos which the locals said was unusual.
A lovely hotel and we hope to return.
A bonus was meeting some of the technicians who were filming The Durrells nearby.
