Room Tip: Request a sea view, with a balcony you will pay extra but it is worth it

A nice, clean hotel, with a lovely pool with a great view. We were very surprised on arrival to be told we were ‘in the Annex’, a 400m walk away down a steep road. The arrival at our family room (A1) was helped by assistance with our luggage by car in this first trek. The rooms themselves were satisfactory, though a singular AC unit necessitated that all the bedroom doors were left open at night... There was a supply of good soap and shower gel along with the other hotel niceties. Occasionally we had the delight of the local wildlife in our rooms, a frog or cricket, that we had to dispose of. The room contained a kettle and fridge which was much appreciated. The main drawback of the room was it’s proximity to some houses with lots of mopeds... we would often be awoken by these arriving and departing in the wee small hours, not forgetting the rural benefits of the cockerel calls... To address the food (we were half board): Breakfast was served from 8-10, and was a good continental array. The fruit and Greek yoghurt was delicious (if you got there before the best had gone) and there was a variety of warm items. Regards drinks, there were options of juice and hot drinks that were appreciated. Dinner - on arrival we had to seek out our own table, and it did feel a little understaffed, as we were often not asked about drinks until half-way through the buffet meal. There was always a delicious soup & fresh bread. The salad bar was well stocked with Greek delicacies, though a notable absence of actual lettuce... The mains were varied, often a familiar dish addressed as ‘Greek Traditional’ though... There was always at least one delicious item that had us going back for more. The desserts were variable, with a selection of fruit, ice cream and other delicacies. One major drawback was the extortionate price of drinks... a minimum of €3 a pop! Happy hour is not much better with 10% off limited drinks... This discouraged us from buying drinks at dinner, and also at the poolside bar, where we spent several evenings, with superb free entertainment of Greek Dancing and a musical duo on certain nights. If you’re looking to make the most of public transport, the bus stop is a short walk at the end of the road to the hotel. This is for both the Green and Blue buses. The ‘Saveways’ shop just by the bus stop is where tickets for the blue bus can be bought, and green bus tickets are bought on the bus. Throughout the day, the tour operators stimulated activities by the pool for all people there. They made us feel welcome, with morning Yoga, Water Polo and Water Aerobics. In summary - be warned about the walk if you’re in the annex, expect to be well fed, and make the most of the excellent pool!!

This was a family holiday for 4 of us, having lived in Corfu am familiar with the area and it suited our needs.
The hotel was spotlessly clean which is a big thing for me. All the staff were friendly and helpful. Especially a dutch lady (not sure of her name) she was brilliant and went out of her way for us.
The pool was great and just the right size, sunbeds easy to get. A good base point for travelling around the island too.
The only downside to the hotel was the bar prices, which was a real shame as it is a nice bar and we would have happily stayed, however it was almost double what you paid for in the bars on the main strip. If the prices were lowered a little it would have been a full bar every night and many drinks sold throughout the day!
The food was fine, all edible and fresh. Not what I know as traditional Greek food though.
Overall a great stay and I would recommend this hotel to my friends.

Me and my hubby stayed here for a week. We arrived in the early hours of the morning due to a flight delay and after checking in we were presented with a much welcome sandwich and Crisps.
The room was adequate for what we needed as we're on holiday not living in it The balcony had an absolutely fantastic sea view which we enjoyed very much.
The shower cubicle was small but we managed, there was plenty of hot water and the shower was powerful.
The room was kept very clean with plenty of fresh towels.
We were half board and the restaurant was very modern and clean, we were very impressed.
The food was good with plenty of choice. Cereal, juice, fruit, cooked breakfast and coffee etc in the morning and plenty of Greek fair in the evening.
The pool area was beautiful with picturesque views over the sea and mountains. There was always plenty of sunbeds available. The poolside bar was also very nice.
All the staff were very helpful and friendly especially Billy and Sandra who were both working in the restaurant at the time of our visit.
All in all a fab holiday

This year was my third visit to hotel Yannis. I guess this speaks for itself? "Our" expectations were more than satisfied with the upgrade that had taken place.
The rooms are well maintained , sea view balcony is a bonus. The food is good with plenty of choice (especially breakfast) and the new coffee machine was the highlight for me, I love a latte first thing in a morning.
It's a great place for a quiet relaxing holiday either with family or as a couple. Kids will love this place especially if they like the pool. Activities are for both children and adults, not too invasive! You can take them or leave them. The "Yannis " is also a great base for exploring the island. Car hire is a little expensive but if you know upfront you can budget accordingly.
All in all a very enjoyable break.
