Our stay at the Crow's Nest was perfect! The cabins are just what what we were looking for - an authentic Alaskan feel, but the beds were as luxurious as the Four Seasons. We actually rather enjoyed walking between the multiple levels to explore the property, but you can have the staff shuttle you around in golf carts if you've got limited mobility or if you're just tired from exploring all day. The Front Desk staff were incredibly helpful in booking my and my father's fly fishing trip and they even had an "Aurora Watchlist" so they knocked on our door to wake us up on our last night to see the lights! Bucket list - check. We ate at the Overlook twice - once for small plates and drinks and we just had to go back for a full multi-course meal for our final evening. Definitely not your average "hotel restaurant" - it was better than any that I've come across.
Maybe not the place to stay if you're looking for a big-box type hotel experience, but we loved it and would highly recommend a stay if you want an Alaskan vacation. They even have a friendly dog to greet guests at the front desk!More
