“Top quality in great location”

For top quality accommodation in a superb location with great views look no further. Very close to the old town and harbour, And no problems with parking once you get used to the steep uphill drive. But think of those views! The owners have really thought about every comfort in furnishing these houses, yet have been faithful to the local architectural style, Molyvos is very atmospheric and original, and indeed Lesbos has to be one of the most rewarding and beautifully unspoilt places to visit in Southern Europe. Please do not be put off by the at times worrying publicity this island has received in the western press due to the migrant crisis, with which the island is coping heroically.

“Dream Home on Paradise Island for Relaxation and Exploration”
Reviewed 23 October 2014 for a stay in October 2014

Luxurious yet comfortable, we spent delightful evenings on the upper balcony with gorgeous panorama views, lazily watching the boats glide in and out of the harbour whilst sipping local organic wine. Leisurely mornings found us curled up in the lovely bedroom, enjoying the light and vista from the lower balcony with steaming Greek mountain tea in hand. Even the spacious rainhead shower in the tastefully decorated bathroom contributed to the pervasive feeling of quality and deep relaxation. A little detail, but the stairs between the two floors was a delight to navigate. Kitchen fully equipped but we resisted the temptation and opted to eat out for every single meal with so many lovely places within walking distance. We returned every other night of our week's stay to the Captain's Table and still did not manage to taste all the delicacies. Sunlight best at the harbour for breakfast but we found our special place at Geia Mas just up the street on the square. I enjoyed the Eftalou hot springs nearby as this was a dreamy get a way for me….my husband, however, had to work several hours a day (living room functioned well for this) and really appreciated how very quickly Melinda, the owner, responded when there was a temporary glitch in the internet. We were warmly welcomed on arrival and escorted to the property by Theo and the whole time felt secure knowing we had this couple as a strong and willing resource. Parking right outside the property was a super plus. We took less driving excursions that usual when on such trips but then we have rarely found a village so pleasant to stroll about with a variety of settings and local people one feels one has gotten to know within the week! Many walking tours start in Molyvos and there are multiple nature trails nearby in the hills and on the coast well marked not even needing the guide books so generously supplied by the owners. The island is large with many different environments yet small enough that one can easily drive to the south (like we did to Plomari) or west (got to Sigri) as a day trips. We spent a week mid-October with 20-25 C temps so did not need the AC or heating. Both the island and the Grand View home definitely "tastes like more" and we are already planning a spring trip to one of the other Grand View properties with more bedrooms as we will have our kids with. After decades of traveling America, Europe and Asia, in Lesvos we may just have found the magical place we want to retire!

“EXCELLENT CHOICE!”
Reviewed 2 August 2014 for a stay in June 2014

I stayed at the Grand View Kimon with my two cousins for a week in June and would recommend it without hesitation to anyone looking to spend time in Molivos. The home suited us perfectly, three ladies, three bedrooms and three bathrooms. Enough space for us to spread out and to comfortably spend our days. The kitchen was fully equipped with everything you could want ( we only made breakfast in the house and ate out all other meals but we could have easily prepared a five course
dinner there ). Two bedrooms were on the lower level with a small reception area and one bedroom was upstairs with the kitchen/ dining area, living room and an outside balcony with another dining table. There is also a laundry room complete with washer/dryer, etc . that was very useful.
The home is beautiful styled, and meticulously kept, Theo and Melinda did a wonderful job .
The property is on a narrow cobblestoned street one block up from the main road that runs thru Molivos and down to the harbor. From the upstairs we had a view of the bay and Molivos castle. We had a rental car and parked it outside.
I have been to Molivos twice before and was very excited when I found this property on the internet because it is perfectly located for a stay in the village, within walking distance of all the restaurants, shops and the harbor.
It was the most wonderful choice for our vacation and I look forward to returning someday.

“Wonderful Property”
Reviewed 18 July 2014 for a stay in June 2014

My wife and I had had a wonderful stay at Grand View Rhea. The property was extremely well equipped and very comfortable and the views are superb. The bed was comfortable, the shower was a real treat. It is ideally located between the port and the village, we had an extremely relaxing time. Theo and Melinda were brilliant hosts. We have stayed on Lesbos 6 times now and this is by far the most impressive property we have stayed in and we will be back.

“Overlooking the Aegean”
Reviewed 24 May 2014 for a stay in May 2014

Grandview houses have an incredible vista of the Aegean- and a short walking distance to the port of Molyvos, the agora with wonderful bakery and shops, and the best restaurants. Despite being so close to everything it is very quiet --- with the birds singing. From the balcony you can check the boats coming in and out of the port. The house has that old Greek feeling with beautiful wood floors and stone walls and terraces. Yet, the furnishings (great comfy beds, terrific sofas and outdoor furniture) and appliances are modern and new. It's like having the best of both worlds -- old and new. The owners, Melinda and Theo, are extremely helpful in helping you get settled in -- also great sources of information on where to go and what to do. Right now enjoying a cocktail on the balcony and waiting for the sunset!
