Very friendly staff. Quiet and relaxing atmosphere in the garden with olive and lime trees around. The breakfast is fine, but nothing special.
Very clean rooms!
The location was perfect for a stay in Molyvos, and I will definitely recommend the hotel and the town for a great greek holiday.

Room Tip: Our 1st-floor room towards the countryside was nice, but I regret I didn't pay more to have a balcony.

Just returned from a wonderful holiday at this lovely friendly family run hotel. We stayed in room 213, which had a small but very private balcony. We enjoyed our breakfast every morning sitting outside in the garden. Breakfast consisted of 2 sorts of bread, boiled eggs, feta cheese, olives, sliced cheese and ham, marble cake, jams, yoghurt, honey and preserved cherries. There was coffee and tea in urns (coffee was good but never tried the tea), and also orange juice. We also bought fresh cherries and peaches from the local shop and had those at breakfast. You could eat inside but everybody took their tray outside to the many tables, just remember to clear your table when finished and take your tray inside. On our last day we were leaving before breakfast and they offered to make a breakfast tray the night before so that you could leave it in your fridge, they also offered a thermos of tea or coffee.

When you check in they give you your room key and a front door key as they lock up and leave at midnight so if you forget your key it's a sunbed in the garden.

We rented a safe for a week @ 1.50 Euro per day and also had air con for 2 days only @ 6 Euros per day for which they give you the required remote control at reception, the great thing is you can keep taking the remote back if you don’t need it every day, you only pay for the days you keep the remote control! You pay for these services at the end of your holiday along with the Tourist tax @ 1.50 Euros per day.

Drinks at the bar we paid for as we had them except for one where they had no change and they asked if they could put it on our bill. Small bottle of wine 250ml was 3 Euros. Small tin of Mythos plus a sprite was 4.50 Euros. There was never anyone manning the bar but this was not a problem as you just go a few steps to reception and they serve you quickly. Just like at breakfast, trays were always available for you to take your drinks outside.

We also enjoyed the large pool – lovely and refreshing, with views to Molyvos Castle. Depth started at 1 metre, sloping progressively to 3 metres.

We collected a car from the airport, and driving slowly took us approximately 90 minutes. You can park on one side in the narrow cobbled lane outside the front door of the hotel, but spaces are at a premium, however the big plus is that the hotel has a small private area for parking which can be accessed by opening a pair of double gates, we did this every day and there was never more than 2 cars at any time. Just make sure to close the gates as you leave. The on road parking finishes just outside the hotel as it gets narrower further down, it’s also one way but we saw a few confused tourists going the wrong way causing some chaos! There is also a large public car park not far away near the Taxi rank. Gas stations (as they call them) are plentiful everywhere we went.

One tip – take a small piece of clothes line so that you can dry swimwear etc.

Just back from a lovely 2 week break at the amfitriti. An absolutely wonderful hotel and close to everything. Just wish Thomas Cook had told us when we booked that not all the rooms have balconies or patios and that they need to be requested on booking, our room had neither which was a bit disappointing as we normally like to sit out for morning brews and evening wine! Never mind tho as the window was big and looked out to the castle and we brought our own drinks to sit out by the pool after a day at the beach. Breakfast was ok, loved the Greek yogurt and honey but my hubby got a bit fed up of the same fare everyday, a toaster would have been ideal and we saw lots of people bringing down their own cereals and fruit etc. We used the beach area outside the olive press hotel, they had a pool and snack facilities but we stayed on the pebbly beach at the front of it which was hardly used while we were there, lovely for a swim in the sea. We already had beach shoes and glad we brought them with us as very pebbly but lovely once in. We hired a scooter for a couple of days and went round the island but can honestly say that Molyvos was the nicest in our opinion, quaint with the cobbled streets etc rather than Petra, Skala Kalloni and anaxos but that’s our opinion only! Skala sikaminias was beautiful tho! We also visited a couple of monasteries on route, Taxiarchis Michael was stunning. All in all a lovely holiday, so thank you all at the amfitriti for making it so. Julie & Keith.

Room Tip: Request balcony or patio on booking

We stayed at the Amfitriti Hotel last week and had a wonderful time.
We loved the hotel and the gorgeous setting.
Our room (208) was spacious with a balcony and a great view up to the castle.
The beds were quite comfortable and we had soft pillows, there is a full size fridge in the room, the shower was good, everything was spotlessly clean. There is also air conditioning and a safe for a supplement. The free wifi was good.
It was lovely to have breakfast in the garden; it felt very relaxing and gave a real Greek feel to the place sitting under the olive trees by the pool with views up to Molyvos and the castle.
The location was good, on a quiet cobbled side street and yet only approximately 200 yards to the sea with many bars, tavernas, supermarket and pharmacy close by too.
We would like to thank Maria and her family for making us feel so welcome and to all the staff who worked hard, also Taxia who was always smiling and helpful, thank you all.
We loved Molyvos and the Amfitriti Hotel and hope to return in the future.
John & Jackie

Very clean comfortable room , loved the location as you can walk to harbour and the shops . No kettle in room so take your own if your a tea person as tea in restaurant is in an urn so no hot water to make your own .
Hotel is run by really nice Greek family and we have just spent two really enjoyable weeks there .
