We stayed at Creta Palm for 2 weeks in Aug/Sep. We arrived before check-in at 9AM but our appartment had been prepared and we settled down straight away. Next day we realized that next door appartment was more convinient for us as balcony was with living room not bedroom (our daughter and 11-month grandson lived in bedroom and we could not use the balcony when grandson were sleeping not to bother him). We asked to reallocate us to this appartment and we were provided it in 10 min!

Special thanks to Sofia from reception who made all these suprises real!

Ok location - near beach, shops and bus stop but area is not very lively at night - in fact boring and we are a family with 2 kids! Accommodation was again boring and basic - was cleaned every 2 days but my impressions of its cleanliness was completely undone by discovering a huge cockroach on the shower curtain ( as I was taking a shower I might add). Breakfast is ok but be aware that the juice is not in fact juice but only some fruit cordial! Some nice breakfast items but a mix of cheap rubbish too. Was annoyed by other guests putting out their towels super early and hogging sunloungers for the whole day even though the same guests were more often than not nowhere to be seen. Self catering is an over description - no kettle available, no toaster, no tea towels etc - more like indoor camping! Was high summer of course but felt it was overpriced.

Room Tip: The one without the cockroach and away from the pool

We stayed for two weeks at Creta Palm Hotel. Hotel has a good location close to Platanias and Chania. Rooms are kept clean, has enough space and overall atmosphere is positive. Pool areas are clean and well kept. Staff is helpfull, especially we want to thank Dimitris and his staff from the bar. Dimitris was always positive, willing to help & quide. In case you are not in the mood for chatting he gives you room needed - and the extra mile he is ready to take for his customers, amazing. Bar staff will quickly learn your name and favourites and that makes you feel special, nice :). Something that bothered is same as with all hotels - People started to reserve sun beds before breakfast and left them reserved even they were not in the pool area. Still we can truly recommend this hotel.

As Senior Citizens and Travelers we appreciate comfort, high Service level and delicate delicious food, not to mention long drinks. The Chef was a true wizard, - especially with regard to the Sauces,- very tasty. A pleasure for the Pallet.
At Crete Palms, we found it all,- and the price for 2 weeks with Detur.com was reasonable for a 4 star Resort.
We wrote Crete Palms prior to our departure to ask the reception girl Eva if the apartment was equipped with a Coffee-Brewer, - and voila,- she arranged for a brand new one. The Kitchen was well equipped. On top of that. - Eva also arranged for us to have, what we think was, the very best apartment # 954 right in front of the best pool. That’s my kind of girl.
The apartment had the same girl both weeks we were there, and she kept it just the way we like it. Spotless and nice
The Entertainment, next to the Pool closest to the Reception and Main-Bar, 3days a week was so-so,- one show was a Magician but mainly for the Kids
The Bar, was the turning point/Center of Crete Palms, where Dimitris the Bar Boss was not only a barman but also the one who kept everybody happy and content and amused. A real showman, and could he ever make drinks. His 2 assistance did a marvelous job keeping a constant flow of drinks to all the Guests. If we owned a restaurant or a Bar,- we wouldn’t hesitate to employ Dimitris. He deserves the attention of the Owner plus a raise in salary I’m sure .
The Crete Palms get our vote of confidence and recommendation.

we stayed in this Hotel in June2017 for 7days and we loved it, not just the Hotel but Crete in general and Greek people. Staff is very friendly and helpful, i contacted Hotel in advance to book us a taxi from the airport and they did with no problem, taxi driver was there expecting us with a smile! Room was clean and spacious enough, bed was very comfortable, we had half-board with the Hotel and didnt regret it, food was very good with lots of options including European& Greek food. There is no kettle, teas or coffees in the room though so bring your own. Wi-Fi is not free, 12 Euro per week which is not too bad. Red sand beach is just across the road from the Hotel and is amazing, very clean sandy beach with shallow clean water which was just great for us, our 7year old son could just splash and swim without us worrying. Only thing which was a little annoying in the Hotel was the rooster living somewhere in the private sector nearby as we could hear it during day and night (we stayed in the building H at the back of the Hotel so avoid that area of you want peace and quiet) Nothing too fancy in the area but lots of cafes and restaurants to eat out. Bus stop to Chania town is just a few metres away and takes about 15mins to get there. Overall it was very relaxing great holiday by the sea, if sun, sea and great food is what you want for your holiday then this place is for you.

Room Tip: stay away from the back of the Hotel as you can hear Rooster there
