Absoultelty beautiful! apon arrival we were greated with a friendly smile & given bubbly & chocolates, only to walk into the villa with a stunning spa and bathroom, up onto an elevated area with a four posted bed, and walk down into a sunken loungeroom with fire place and out onto a private balcony with tranquil ponds and water feature views.
Not to mention the buffet breakfast each morning.
Take advantage of the Gold class cinema package with a movie of your choice & the relaxation of massages, facials, and full body indulgences.
Beautiful owners of Gary & Carolynne & complimentary staff.
Would highly recommend staying.

Being our first time on Tambourine Mountain, we had high expectations of what the area had to offer. Upon our arrival we were warmly greeted by Carolynne, bubbly, chocolates and a brief chat, and we had a plethora of things to see and do.
However...once we walked into our villa, the list of things to do and see could have easily been left at the door. The villa was very accomodating, loved the fire, the large spa bath, the huge four poster bed and the private balcony. You could simply spend two days room bound, unwinding and re-kindling.
DVD library for in room viewing or Gold Class cinema for two, and the included gourmet breakfast was fantastic.
We indulged in a joint massage on our second afternoon, highly recommend the 1.5 hr Bliss Package, topped of later by a walk to the rear of the property to enjoy the magnificent views, followed by a spa and champers.
I found the location within easy driving distance to everything, and an easy stroll for a beer and more views.
All in all I found The Escarpment to be a great place to relax and friendly staff to make it happen. from reading other reviews, I am happy to say they have listened and improved in areas that needed it. Our bathroom was showing a little age, but under candle light in a spa bath with champers, it really was insignificant.

    Dear Live2enjoy,
Thanks for the glowing review. We are very pleased to hear that you had a wonderful escape. Yes agree about the showers. Although it is a minor point we still take the issue seriously. The water on the mountain is beautiful pure bore water. Being natural water, it has high mineral traces and has scratched the glass over time. We have sourced and tested equipment that can cut/buff the shower glass to give a smooth new finish and are in the process of having this implemented over the next 2 months.

Looking forward to having you both back here in the future when time permits :)

    Warm regards

    Gary & Carolynne

From entering the establishment to leaving, our experience was one to remember. The room was breathtaking, relaxing and romantic which was the recipe to rekindle any relationship not to mention the food and service was divine and I would recommend the poached eggs for breakfast with the chutney which was out of this world. Watching your favourite movie in the theatre room in privacy was an escape from the reality while having a massage in the relaxation room put you on cloud nine. The knowledge and friendliness by staff help map an itinerary of the mountain making our stay one to remember and revisit in the near future.

We were greeted with a warm welcome, bubbles and chocolates, and a great range of DVDs to choose from. Service at breakfast was excellent. The room was spacious but cosy with a fireplace, candles, comfy couch and four poster bed. We were struck by the quality of the furnishings and the ambience created by warm timber floors, cedar shutters, and the dark mahogany furniture. The room including the spa and bathroom all felt private and secluded. Gourmet breakfast was delicious. Hope to get back there for another delightful 'escape'...

We have just returned from a short break at The Escarpment. The villa was lovely - just as in the photos. Our complimentary breakfast was fabulous and Gary provided us with excellent suggestions re how to spend our short time on the mountain. We enjoyed probably the best massage I have ever had in the spa pavillion. We will be back.

The Escarpment was just what we needed to recharge the batteries!
It is only a short scenic drive from the Gold Coast, but you will feel a world away. The rooms were cosy, and the warm personal service that Gary and Carolynne provide make your stay all the more special.
Looking forward to our next visit.
