“Lovely, Quite, Private, Stunning, Perfect”
Reviewed 22 July 2015 for a stay in July 2015

We were looking for a suitable villa for a family Holiday in Crete, there was 11 of us, the youngest was 20 months and the oldest 70. I should begin this review with a quick word on the financial situation in Crete, if you are traveling there and have any worries about money, banks, shops running out of food or no petrol for your car, forget it, it's all media hype and everything in Crete is fine, there is plenty of food and petrol and we noticed no impact on our holiday. However we did bring cash and didn't need to use the Banks or ATM's.

From our first emails with the Villa Owners through to booking and transfer to and from the Airport they were fantastic and really nice to deal with and extremely helpful, which was so important when traveling with a young child.

The villa is in the old village of Gerani about 2 KM from the coastal town of Gerani, and up quite a steep hill on a narrow road, so a hire car is recommended and there are a number of local car hire places, so shop around for the best deal. The lady from Strata Tours who done our airport transfer was very helpful in this regard. Strata Tours also worth contacting as they organize great trips and tours.

Ok back to the Villa; it has plenty of rooms, a Pool outside, which is great, a Pool inside and a gym which we didn't use, the Rooms have Air con. The place is very clean and has everything a family would require when away from home. The views over the coast are stunning, there is a fine big table in a veranda and this became our family focal point for meals during the day. There is a great bakery in the town and we visited there every morning for fresh breads and croissants.

There are lots of restaurants in the area and we ate out every night and the food was always good and the rates very reasonable, including a local tavern in the old village who were very welcoming.

This is a great villa and I would highly recommend it for a family holiday.

would say it sleeps 10 not 12 as it was a little difficult in the annexe with a couple and then 2 youngsters in their 20's in an open plan area but we managed
Car is essential to get anywhere
