Positives:
- Room was spacious, modern, immaculately clean, with amazing views out over the sea and the islands. Sunsets could be seen from the balcony. The minibar was topped up, for free, on a daily basis. The bed was huge and very comfy.
- Bathroom was spacious and modern. Nice large shower, always with hot water.
- Staff were always friendly and willing to help. Staff at the front desk always went out of their way to help.
- Breakfast was very good. A large range of hot food, fruit, yoghurts etc. Note that breakfast is the same on each day.
- Lunch and dinner were both excellent and varied each day. A huge selection of hot food, salads, fruit, sweet etc. House wine, beer etc included. Lots of healthy options too.
- We eat at the Grill restaurant and the Culinarium too. The Grill was really good though note there is an extra charge of 15 Euro per person. It is worth it for the setting alone though, right on the beach. The Culinarium was also good, fine dining style (the shark for main was amazing!), with no extra charge. Note that the Culinarium does book up every night, so early booking is essential.
- The vast majority of alcoholic drinks are included. House wine, house beer, and so many different cocktails to choose from that we didn't get through them all in a week!
- Pool area is very nice. A large infinity style pool, not particuarly deep so more aimed at relaxing rather than hardcore swimming. Modern style sunbeds readily available every day - no need to reserve them at the crack of dawn! There is a bar by the pool area that opens from 10 until 6, serving the house drinks and cocktails. Wasps here are a problem, what with all the sugary drinks, though I never saw anyone get stung.
- The beach is stoney, not sandy, but I actually preferred that. The stones can be a little painful to walk on in bare feet, so take the appropriate shoes. The water is amazingly clear and gets deep very quickly. The water is very calm - almost pond like - with no tide. Sunsets can be seen from the beach too. I loved this beach.
- Lovely relaxed location away from any bright lights, touristy areas.
- Sunsets, sunsets and more sunsets!

Negatives:
- Transfer from the airport is long (2 hours), but I'm sure if you're booking this hotel then you're already aware of this.
- Poor entertainment during the evenings.
- Changeover days on a Friday are rather hectic.
- Struggling to think of much else!

Really enjoyed our stay here. The views are stunning and it really is a great place to relax as a couple. Their is a wide choice of food every night and there was always something you could eat. Obviously with this being buffet style food it was never going to be gourmet but it was to a high standard - in mine and my partners opinion.
Transfer is a bit annoying and the wait for the keycard/suitacase is also a pain but they do give you drinks to pass the time and there are worse views to look at . . . .I would suggest taking some shorts and t-shirt with you in your hand luggage to change into while you wait.

Room Tip: Sea view is so worth it!

This is a lovely place. Our room was beautiful with a sea view and fresh linen and towels every day. The staff are all very friendly and helpful. The food in the Dalmatia restaurant and the Culinarium was very good.
On the downside, the steps up from the pool and beach were a bit of an issue for me as I'm borderline COPD but I was aware of them before we went as I had read all the info clearly given on the hotel website. Other people obviously hadn't and were moaning and complaining about the steps.
Also, I would say that the pool area is too small for the number of people that the hotel can accommodate. There is absolutely no room to move your sun lounger round as the sun moves round unless the person next to you moves too.
The beach is public but is kept beautifully clean. It is stony and you will need jellies or similar to go into the sea.
I would definitely recommend this hotel.

Firstly, Thomson doesn't make it clear that this hotel is a 2 hour transfer and as it is a Thomson hotel everyone on the Thomson flight seemed to be going to this hotel. The entire hotel checks in and departs together never quite seen anything like it. When we arrived there must have been 200 people all checking in together! However that said we were quite lucky to get checked in quickly and was greeted with a nice cold drink.

The room we had was a junior suite I believe in blue block. The view and scenery is spectacular the hotel is in a stunning position and the sea view is worth the extra pennies. The downside was the balcony was tiny and enclosed with glass so you couldn't really use it unless you wanted to bake in the day. The room was spacious and the bed was great. We did have a sewerage smell coming from the bathroom which maintenance couldn't resolve so we were moved to the new block which had a large balcony and a sun terrace this was much better the views were great. The rooms and hotels were very clean.

The food was great also but we was there 2 weeks so became repetitive but that happens in all AL I suppose. The only niggle we had was that the town of MARKARSKA which is where the hotel is marketed as being at is actually some 25km away. Taxis charge around £35 each way as they have to come from MARKARSKA as the location is quite remote. Thomson run a shuttle bus for around £15 return but returns at 23.30 so no good if you want to stay out for drinks. There was a few bars in the local village which were nice and a sea food grill which we went to which were all really nice.

The pool area was small but clean. The only problem was all the flys and wasps, during our time we felt that bar guys didn't come get the drinks often enough throughout the day.

The staff and waiters were all great and friendly. The manager at the front desk was warming and helpful with us.

The entertainment was abysmal considering there was nothing else around. Even the 50+s were bored! We often found that we rather take ourselves anywhere else at night or we may have jumped off the balcony with some of the entertainment that was on. It was also non existent during the day apart from Aqua aerobics.

That being said the location of this hotel in terms of the scenery is stunning. Below the mountains and on the crystal blue calm sea is wonderful. The hotel is very clean, modern and what you would expect from a sensimar hotel. But if you read this please either go for a week or if you are under 50 go stay in hvar!
