We loved this understated, but classically designed hotel. The food and service was impeccable. The room we had was exceptionally designed and I appreciated the blend of Asian design aesthetics. The beds are divine, so much so that I wished we had one like this at home.

Room Tip: Floor level w/pool

I travelled to Koh Samui with my wife and 10 month old daughter in June 17. Check in was smooth and the room was wonderful. We had taken the plunge pool. Although the bed room in itself is a little small, the entire setup with the plunge pool and dining area was big enough. The staff was great and very helpful. I would surely love to visit again.

Room Tip: Try combining the dine area along with the bed room to make the whole thing seem more spacious

Actually this area was way to quiet for us, noting much to do but long walks on the beach to Lamai (noting wrong with that). You can take a shuttle to a different destination every night - however the hotel decides where to. You have to take a taxi back (really a down-side of this hotel) It is so secluded that you just cannot walk or cylcle anywhere. The hotel is beautiful, well kept garden! Very friendly staff and the restaurant is supergood! One of the best breakfasts ever. Very comfortable beds by the pool, clean towels. The beach; nothing really special and sea is better a bit further down Lamai. I did not care for the pier- looked dated and out of place and not many people use it i guess. Our room was a bit dated, on the first floor. I was spaceous but the bathroom was really too dated. It was to meant to be fun- like an extra space added to the suite (a semi-outdoorish bathroom) but it was really way to hot in there even with an extra fan.
Recap: our room; not so... Hotel overall; really good vibe and overall look was really good- food great! - Too secluded for us. Liked Chaweng-beach a lot more (we stayed there a few more days and it is busier and more fun over there and much better sea and beach!) So be carefull where you book- Lamai is: area Chaweng but NOT Chaweng-centre. Better book Chaweng-beach if you like a happybusyvibe!

Room Tip: don't choose the upperrooms! Prefer: access-poolrooms.

Dear Ros1963,

Thank you very much for taking your time to post and sharing the detailed review of your recent stay.

Although you mentioned preferring the Chaweng area over Lamai, it is good to know that you enjoyed your stay while here. We are delighted to learn that you were pleased with the overall services and that you we able to relax in our luxury intimate beachfront resort. The Ocean Pier as noticed is indeed a unique venue for evening drinks and dinner, open to the public which will usually busy during sunset hours. However, your comments regarding the room have been noted and will be used for improvements in the future.

Perhaps you will reconsider staying with us again next time and if there is anything I can do to personally assist, please let me know.

This hotel in Koh Samui was very pretty. The staff was very sweet and gracious!! The service was 5 star. The accommodations were comfortable and very nice. The setting was beautiful. The pier was nice for a sunset drink at happy hour. We were very pleased with our stay and would definitely come back. The food each day at the restaurant was delicious and the breakfast each morning was definitely the best part of the day!! Highly recommend this hotel!

Beautiful hotel located in Lamai with access to the beach. Staff are very friendly and accommodating. Love the Feng Shui decor. Room and bathroom are gorgeous. Semi-private pool shared with other suites but always empty. Appreciated the feeling of seclusion even though we were surrounded by other suites. The hotel restaurant, Latest Recipe, is a beautiful place to enjoy your breakfast outdoors with a view across the beach and out to the ocean. Also has a restaurant pool and lounge area. They also serve dinner on their pier in the evenings which is a great place to enjoy a romantic dinner while watching the Samui sunset. Every night at 19:19, the staff perform a show at the lobby reflection pool which can be enjoyed from the lounge area of the Latitude 9 bar. The fitness center is open 24/7, very well equipped and almost always empty. Spa was also very relaxing and convenient if you want to schedule a massage after a nice shower in your room. If you happen to be there on a Sunday, you can enjoy the Lamai Walking Street market which happens from 16:00 to 22:00 every Sunday. They serve good local food and very cheap. The hotel has a free shuttle that drops you there departing at 19:45. No shuttle to bring you back so you will have to take a taxi, tuktuk or walk (30-45mins).
Only complaint I have is that the family staying above us were noisy and always came back to their room late. To top it off, they had a crying baby. Although this is not the hotel's fault, perhaps the front desk should think about booking families with young children away from the couples. It would be better for all and greatly appreciated by couples like us.

Room Tip: Second floor rooms have several steps to climb. Not convenient if you have a baby or for elderly guests.

Dear blackchina3000,

We appreciate you taking the time to share your feedback about your stay here.
It sounds like you stayed in our Pool Access Suites which surround a semi-shared swimming pool. We have 3 share pool clusters here at the resort and they offer wonderful convenience to those who want to enjoy pool comfort right from the deck of room. We do apologize for noise from children and our team can certainly be called to speak to guests for cooperation. In following, we're glad that you were able to get out of the resort and explore local market by our complimentary shuttle service.

We hope we will have the opportunity to welcome you back. Perhaps you might like to try our Pavillion Pool Villa or the Ocean Front Pool Villa for more luxury and privacy, I can assure that The Ocean Front Pool Villa offers great value on this island.
