The huts were in good condition and everything worked well, We liked the location and the seated area for eating outside. It made a really nice change from bed and breakfasts.
It would have been good if there had been a spare battery for the radio.
One hut for sleeping and the other for kitchen and bathroom - all beautifully decorated and equipped, under mature trees, on a large farm, very close to Cambridge.
For one person, or a couple, this venue is excellent and has a real get-away-from-it-all feel. The walks must be good in all directions, and there were beautiful horses grazing in the paddock adjacent to the huts.
I was met by Dan, and then left to myself; milk and tea/coffee were in the 'kitchen' hut, and the facilities were fine for cooking at home, incl. a bar-b-q.
I thoroughly enjoyed this short stay.
The Heath Retreat is just that, a calm, quiet place to chill out. You can relax in the hut and watch movies with the free wifi, have a barbecue or cook up dinner to eat al fresco at the picnic table. You are close enough to pubs, a supermarket and Cambridge itself if you need anything but it is lovely to take the time to breathe in the country air and read a book.

My mum and I stayed here overnight as we were going to Cambridge for our birthday treat and we wished we booked more nights away as this place is fantastic. We wanted something different to your local hotel or B&B and we found this, lovely comfy double bed, separate hut with a kitchen and bathroom in and your own gazebo and BBQ area. We had a great time, the staff were very helpful and friendly and had no trouble from our neighbours - two gorgeous stallions lol. Simple but perfect.
