I was traveling around Italy with my friend Elly from Florida and by chance found this beautiful resort. After a warm welcoming we were shown to our room on the first fl. It was spacious, clean and comfortable with an amazing view on Lago Trasimeno. We enjoyed a lovely glass of wine on our terrace and went out to discover the area. Fantastic I would say, the countryside, the restaurant's , the wine, the hotel....everything was divine! By the way the resort also has amazing swimming pools and tennis courts. I definitely recommend this resort and of course UMBRIA!

Umbria so much more alive than Tuscany, more vivid. The people are much nicer and the cities way more authentic. Le tre isole is a perfect accomodation for any family, we've been visiting this accomodation since I was a kid myself and now, more than 10 years later I am still returning because of the comfort and value-for-money offered. Your kids will definitely enjoy the holiday premises as there are many activities, including football tournaments in which they can participate. A good hint; just across the accommodation premises, there is a very good pizza restaurant where Pizza's are baked in a traditional italian pizza oven.
Note that, while there is a supermarket on the premises, its goods are limited.

Room Tip: Rooms with Air conditioning is a MUST as Umbria can get really hot and falling asleep can be hard. The roll-out couch is also not really sleep-worthy and therefore it is better to just rent a bigger room.

We are a couple with 2 children, aged 18 months and 4 years. We wanted to spend a nice end-of-summer weekend in Umbria, close to Lake Trasimeno, with another family with older children. At "Le Tre Isole" we were accommodated in very comfortable apartments. We had a small veranda with table and chairs that opened on a lawn right beside the swimming pool, and our friends got the apartment above ours, with a balcony. The apartments, especially the bathrooms, are maybe a little small, but there's so much to do outside that you are not really spending so much time in! Swimming, BBQ, play area, beach volley, basketball, "bocce", ping pong... we didn't take advantage of the free access to the beach, but hotel residents have a pass for the beach and a second swimming pool on the lake shore. The surroundings of the hotel are really nice, we visited the lovely Passignano (thanks Simona for recommending it!) and took so many pictures of the wonderful landscape! I had read bad reviews about rooms not being clean, insects, and poor breakfast, but I have to say that our apartment (and our friends') was clean, there were just a few insects but they didn't bother us at all (and you have to expect some insects if immersed in the greenery and close to a lake) and finally, none of us ever left the breakfast room hungry! One last thing is about the kindness of the staff. We got a really warm welcome and everyone was nice and patient with our very noisy kids (especially the lady at the bar :-)).
Looking forward to spending a whole week at Le Tre Isole, to fully enjoy everything they have to offer. Thanks guys!
