Description: Porton de nos Ilha is a sea-food restaurant in a privilege area of Sal Rei, in Front of Praia Diante's Bay, on the 2nd floor (roof top) with an exeptional view over the ocean. We are knew for our special menu (grilled Lobster, shrimp with mandioc and Banana, garoupa rice and many others), for our service and our sunset cocktail (only in season - 5p.m. to 8p.m.). We will be welcome to receive you and give the best of Boa Vista in the time of a meal.

We went there on a Friday afternoon to have a refreshing cocktail and see the sunset from the best rooftop in Boavista. Around 7:30pm we surprised by an astonishing melody singed live in the local dialect "criolo", which inspired us to follow the chef's recommendations. We couldn't resist to a delicious lobster just fished a few hours before from the surrounded warm and crystal-clear waters. The night ended up with a few glasses of the local delightful drink "ponche". Unfortunately, for us we had to come back to London in the next day and couldn’t treat ourselves with another pleasant visit. However, if you are visiting or planning to visit Boavista, Porton di nos Ilha it’s definitely a must!

The location, a rooftop bar a couple of floors up with view over the beach and the ocean, is amazing. The place feels more high range than any other restaurant we visited in town but the prices are pretty much the same. The service was really good.

Don’t miss this place during your visit of Sal Rei. We viseted it twice. Amazing place, very friendly staff, local live music, great fresh lobster (shown alive before it was cooked and served), nice red wine from Fogo island and traditional “grogo” drink.

i’ve been in sal rei for 6days and in cape verde for the last 4weeks. The service was the best i’ve experienced. the waiter is quite cordial and talkative.

the location is the best rooftop in town in my opinion. it’s the highest and you see both sides of the peer.

the prices are a bit overpriced. a simple beverage can be 2x as much as another place nearby.
i tried the shrimp with manioc and banana and it was not at all remarkable. the only thing i will remember is the price. for the ingredients , the preparation, presentation , etc i would think that 60 to 70% of that price would be fair.

i can still recommend it.
they should have live music.
if you keep it simple i think you will not be disappointed. the view is great

When we arrived to our apartment in Sal Rei we discovered that in the same building there were a restaurant in the roof. So first day we had a look at it and the waiter invite us to come during the live concert they have the weekends as we were neighbors, even if we don't want to dinner, just for having a drink.
On Saturday after dinner when we came back to the apartment we heard the music in the roof and we decided to have a drink and listen to the live music. We said to the same waiter that we only wanted to have a drink, as we had already had dinner. We ordered 2 caipirinhas that according to the menu costed 500 cve (5€) but when we asked for the bill they collected 1350 cve (13,5€). We complained but they waiter explained us that they include the price of the cutlery (however we had not had dinner and before ordering we advised him that we only wanted to have a drink).
I usually don't write bad reviews except when they are tricking me.
We had a look today to the whole menu and we planned to come back any other day for dinner, but definitely we won't come back.
There are other places in the area that offers more or less the same food and they don't trick their customers.
