Have just returned from a wonderful holiday at the above Villa. Weather was what you'd expect. Hot, hot, hot!! The villa is VERY remote. There is a taverna next door, which we used once and providing you want what they have for that day, it's fine. We ventured up to Zorba, the Greek taverna up the road and that was OK. Regarding the actual villa, it is very clean and private. The view is stunning. Looking out to the sea from the terrace whilst eating, is pure joy. Having the infinity pool on tap was definitely an essential in the heat.
A few more extras would have made the holiday perfect. Such as, chairs in the bedrooms for sitting at the dressing table, not enough hangers, no frying pan or mixing bowls. A larger kettle would have been better as we had to boil it up twice for 3 of us. Instructions on how to use the cooker hob. We struggled, but that might have been just us! More pegs for the washing line. And a large serrated knife for slicing bread. A pair of scissors in the knife box would have been useful. Also large serving dishes would have been a help as we enjoyed eating out on the terrace. Plastic storage containers would have been useful. A shelf in the bathroom to put shower gel and shampoo on would have been useful. And lastly, a Welcome Pack. Just the basics, water, milk, bread and juice. Especially if you were arriving late at night because it is totally remote. This would be a nice touch.
Also, if you were arriving at night, the directions to find Mary Beach Villas is pretty non existent.
The caretaker was not overly interactive or customer friendly. The electric went off a few times and we had to locate him to find out what was happening!!
None of these comments detracted from the enjoyment of our holiday. If you want a holiday that offers total remoteness, peace and beautiful views, this is the holiday for you.
