This is a great place for Sunday lunch. Book for earlier than 1.30 as that is their really busy time. We went at 12.30. The people are friendly and helpful. The service is fast and good. The views from the veranda of the old school are terrific. Surrounded by lovely plants and flowers. The food is great. Typical local meze at 16 euros a head - well cooked, interesting and not too much.. We come every time we are in Cyprus and love it.

A lovely patio with vistas of the village and the valley. A pleasant place for lunch. The meze is good but at €16 a head rather expensive for Cyprus. The house red wine is very good. Vasa is not an interesting village but worthwhile going there for lunch.

We had a nice time. The food was nice, but nothing special. The atmosphere was nice and cozy with a fireplace.

In the heart of Limassol countryside, Pyrgos Tavern is located at the Vasa village old girls school. At the highest point of the village one has great views of the surrounding traditional stone build buildings. Tradditional recipes are brought to life. The food is really great. Prices are very good. The cook and owner of the tavern, Marinos, is very friendly offering to the guests traditional sweets or drinks.
Don't forget your camera...!

We were the first customers of the day for Sunday lunch so we had a head start before any other customers and especially the christening party arrived to fill up the place. The food was served, and it was very tasty good food but as the place began to suddenly get very busy, the service slowed right down. Good job we were almost full by that time anyway. In the rush the waitress forgot one of the meze dishes, the cracked wheat, which would have complimented the Afelia and the Rabbit Stifado, but as I said, we were almost full and still had the souvla to come, so we never mentioned it. The soulvla lamb and chicken were both very good and I would reccomend it. Four of us ordered meze for three and it was ample for us relatively light eaters, there was even something left over for our dog and cat. Will go again.
