Owner description: NOTE : THE CAVE IS A NATURAL SEA CAVE - IT IS SLIPPERY, IT IS WET, IT IS A SEA CAVE. WE DO SEND A GUIDE WITH EACH TOUR TO AIDE PEOPLE AS NEEDED. WE DO ADVISE THE ELDERLY AND THOSE NOT FIRM ON THEIR FEET TO STAY 'UP TOP'AND ENJOY THE SCENERY AND MAYBE A RUM PUNCH OR TWO! A Natural Wonder of Barbados not to be missed. Located at the most northerly tip of the Island is the Animal Flowr Cave where the coastal scenery is spectacular. The cave got its name from the tube worms that are found in its many rock pools, these are seasonal however so not always in residence, regardless the cave itself is still well worth a visit. You can even swim inside the largest rock pool inside the cave which a fantastic adventure all by itself. Make sure you bring your swim wear and towels. The views from the naturally formed windows out to the ocean are fabulous so bring your camera too. There is now a new restaurant on site and seating area with panoramic sea views, there is a children's playpark too so plan to spend some time with us enjoying the cool sea breezes and the fabulous views that we love to share with you all. We took a 360 Degree tour of the island and this was one of the stops!!! AMAZING!!! The views are beautiful! There are vendors here but they don't harass or pressure you to buy - they let you enjoy the experience! It was so relaxing taking in the breeze and views here at Animal Flower Cave!!

Quite a bumpy drive to get to the most northern part of the island, but once there you must go to the Flower and Animal cave, there are no flowers or animals (other than a few crabs), but it’s a lovely place to cool off and have a swim. The guides are funny and point out some interesting things. There are 27 steep steps to get down there and back up again!

Take the family to this wonder. Not challenging, a few steps underground (with hand rails) and rocky floor in the caves but when the sea is up, the views are brilliant and wonder is huge. You can swim in the far cave safely. A small naturally formed pool of warm water. It's like a natural infinity pool sheltered and overlooking the Atlantic Ocean which was bubbling on the day of our visit.
Take in lunch at the restaurant as it's a great meal and not too expensive.

Set in the most northern point of Barbados, the restaurant at the Animal Flower Cave is superb. The food is absolutely delicious and the location is delightful. No where else on the island can you sit and enjoy such a spectacular lunch while the Atlantic ocean provides the most majestic backdrop. The owners, Manuel and Sue, offer the best service you could ever want. It is worth the drive. They have it so well sign posted that even a Bajan can find it.

Drove here from southeast coast. Ate lunch at scenic restaurant with good food above cave. Went down into cave with tour guide who was very informative. Swam for a short time in cave. Wouldn't recommend spending a long time here but good for an hour or so after lunch.
