Owner description: NOTE : THE CAVE IS A NATURAL SEA CAVE - IT IS SLIPPERY, IT IS WET, IT IS A SEA CAVE. WE DO SEND A GUIDE WITH EACH TOUR TO AIDE PEOPLE AS NEEDED. WE DO ADVISE THE ELDERLY AND THOSE NOT FIRM ON THEIR FEET TO STAY 'UP TOP'AND ENJOY THE SCENERY AND MAYBE A RUM PUNCH OR TWO! A Natural Wonder of Barbados not to be missed. Located at the most northerly tip of the Island is the Animal Flowr Cave where the coastal scenery is spectacular. The cave got its name from the tube worms that are found in its many rock pools, these are seasonal however so not always in residence, regardless the cave itself is still well worth a visit. You can even swim inside the largest rock pool inside the cave which a fantastic adventure all by itself. Make sure you bring your swim wear and towels. The views from the naturally formed windows out to the ocean are fabulous so bring your camera too. There is now a new restaurant on site and seating area with panoramic sea views, there is a children's playpark too so plan to spend some time with us enjoying the cool sea breezes and the fabulous views that we love to share with you all. Set in the most northern point of Barbados, the restaurant at the Animal Flower Cave is superb. The food is absolutely delicious and the location is delightful. No where else on the island can you sit and enjoy such a spectacular lunch while the Atlantic ocean provides the most majestic backdrop. The owners, Manuel and Sue, offer the best service you could ever want. It is worth the drive. They have it so well sign posted that even a Bajan can find it.

Drove here from southeast coast. Ate lunch at scenic restaurant with good food above cave. Went down into cave with tour guide who was very informative. Swam for a short time in cave. Wouldn't recommend spending a long time here but good for an hour or so after lunch.

We visited this amazing place and were blown away. The view reminds me of the coast in Europe....deep cliffs with wild water. Going down into the cave to swim in the natural pool was a one in a million lifetime experience. Do not pass up this attraction when visiting Barbados. Friendly and helpful staff too!

Got there for 16:20. you have to go to bar and buy tickets the woman behind the bar was so rude and arrogant totally uncalled for wouldn’t let us go on tour. She couldn’t have cared less that we had just driven halfway across the island. She said it was closed even though we had 10 minutes to go. Totally put us off going back. I don’t get why they don’t promote healthy tourism.

Don't get me wrong, the area and views from the cliffs are quite spectacular as others have said but I was expecting to see "Animal flowers" and there was only a handful of tiny anemones in the cave, which was quite underwhelming. The cave itself is cool, although not as big as I thought it would be. You do have to be careful - there are some very sharp rocks to clamber over in some sections. It is good for a photo opportunity but the pool is smallish and the water was a bit too cold for my husband to venture in. It didn't put me off, the view was amazing. Good to see but as others have said, link it with other activities as the visit to the cave is fairly brief.
