The setting in the lovely well maintained garden was the best of all the places we ate.
The food was good although the menu was fairly limited. The service was attentive and prompt. Not open Sunday.

Before coming to Maenam we looked at restaurants and really wanted to try here just because of the setting, if not anything else. The location is down a side road so we probable wouldn't have found it without seeing on here first.

Unfortunately the weather wasn't great last night but still the outside location/lighting/setting is stunning.

The food was great also and very tasty.(not overly spicy but flavoursome) We read some reviews stating the portion sizes weren't very big so we ordered 3 appetisers (spring rolls, tempura prawns and squid) between two of us. And two mains (beef with chilli and sweet and sour chicken with extra rice and noodles.) When the appetisers came out they were huge.(9 on each plate) The mains weren't that large but adequate. We had two desserts (chocolate mousse and a chocolate sundae ish thing) we came out feeling very full. (And we love to eat)

We also sampled a couple of the cocktails, banana colada and tropical martini which were beautiful.

On the whole a lovely evening with good food and a great setting and good attentive service even in the rain.:)

N.B Apply strong anti mosquito spray as I got bit to death. We've been in Thailand for 8 nights so far and only last night got bit 9 times on my legs.

Will definitely go back again before we go home.

Tempted by the good reviews and the location. Agree with parts of many of the other reviews. Great location and setting. Food was good quality and tasty but no better than other meals we have recently experienced and the portions were on the small side. Service was friendly from one guy, neutral from another and pretty grumpy from a third. At this price point, I was hoping to be able to use a credit card to pay but was told it was cash only.
