lovely experience

5.0 of 5 bubblesReviewed 1 Nov 2012
My husband and I are lazily enjoying our last night of stay here in the love room as part of a deal we purchased on deals.com.au.

Prior to arriving I contacted staff via email several times regarding availability and also to arrange pick up from the airport and I received prompt responses everytime. It is the nicest feeling to be picked up from the airport when you arrive in a country where communication can be a big issue. On top of that I'm pretty sure we have saved quite some money by taking the free shuttle services they have provided to get in and out of the hotel to the beach and airport.

Although it is a bit far but the free shuttle services has really made up for it so location wasn't a big deal!

The breakfast provided are lovely, not only can you pick from a range of ways for eggs to be cooked and pancakes, they also have someone there to make Thai food such as soup noodles or pad Thai I'm the morning. We can rave on and on about their breakfast but I'm sure others would say the same.

The room is over nice, clean and spacious, bedding is very comfortable. The bottled water is also complimentary which is a big deal in such hot weather here. It would be good if they changed the sheets and covers during our stay though.

We stayed here for 2 nights and to be honest I wish it was longer. The resort it set in the hills overlooking Bophut. It has really lovely views over the bay. When we arrived to reception its was unlike any hotel we had even seen. We were greeted with cold scented towels and iced tea. In the sweltering heat it was the perfect remedy! We were then taken to our room by car. The rooms are all built into the hill side so the route is very steep. There are steps and ramps for easy access but you will not get your bags up them... Luckily if you want you can call reception and a member of staff will pick you up in minutes and bring you down, Its a nice touch!! Some people may not like the fact that the resort is away from the 2 main towns in the area but we really liked that. It was peaceful. If your looking to relax its the right place.

The resort is full of nice touches. The design and decor was well thought out. The layout of the rooms and what you get in them says it all. There was a PC in our room with a selection of movies to watch, the pool is alongside the bar so you can drink a cocktail in the sun without having to leave the pool... the Spa is one of the best around and the Gym is fully equipped and modern. Yoga is free and there are multiple classes daily. There is a free shuttle service into Bophut or Chaweng. Free transfers to and from the airport also.

The selection for breakfast is outstanding and the food is really good. The staff are extremely helpful and always willing to help. I can't actually think of anything bad to say about the place...

Room tip: We came in October so as it was not the high season we got a huge discount on the room. We were very lucky with the weather and it was 29-32 degrees everyday!

We enjoyed our time at Mantra Samui, the staff and location were amazing. They had some of the best views of Koh Samui you could have ever asked for.

This did mean it was a bit difficult to go into Chaweng Beach and Bophut Beach whenever you wanted, but they did supply a good shuttle service with many times to choose from.

It's obvious that its still a new hotel, but I believe that it will only get better with time. It was sometimes difficult to be understood by staff, but they made up for it by going out of their way to make you feel very welcome.

My partner and me were there for 8 nights and it was an amazing experience. The location could be a bit of a problem but we rented scooters (which were quite cheap) to get around town. The staffs were very courteous, always smiling and willing to help. If you try their food go for Thai and asian flavours..other ones could be disappointing. We stayed in "love" room which was quite spacious and had an excellent view. We took the cooking class which happens once a week and yoga class which is everyday, both complimentary and it was really good. The infinity pool is just divine, couldn't get enough of it. Breakfast is very exciting..they have so much variety and its all fresh, eggs are made to order..fruits are very juicy, coffee isn't too bad either. It is quite serene being on the top of a hill and surrounded by nature but its modern at the same time. There is heaps there to indulge yourself in. It is definitely for the people who wants to relax and relax but if you are looking for night outs, parties, noise and all better stay at chaweng or bophut. Those resorts there are much closer to shops, beaches, bars and everything.Overall, Mantra is a unique experience.

Room tip: Love rooms are better though every room has a great view.

Did you see the pix?? Did you like that? Well it's even better :)
As we are still here on our last day, i'm sure i don't need to wait 'till the end, i know we deffenetly will be back! I am sad that it was so short for us.. We saw all that ecxellent reviews and decided to book thet resort for the last days of our vacation. It's alitle expensive so we've only came here for 3 days but surly the best!
Yes it is far from the beaches and restaurants but they are offering a great shuttle service: 10 am, 2pm, 4pm, 8pm to Bophut and 3 times back. And also 11am, 3pm, 5pm, 9pm to Chaweng and back 3 times. It is enough, besides their pool is really big! They have an active bar (unlike all 7 other hotels we've been to) with great drinks, of course expensive but again you have to drink a nice cocktail or fresh shake with that emezing view, day or night.
The WiFi is free everywhere.
The breakfast is the best!!! You can have more then just an omlet/scrumble.. Benedict, royal, florentine. And with a perfect presentaion.
Transportaion from/to the airport. They offer a free transportaion for those who book directly through them insted 800thb (taxi can cost you even more).
Any way, we booked directly 'cause they had better prices! If you find lower price, they'll give a 10% discount for your next visit. And there are more reasons just look in their website.
So... We will be back and it will be for at least a week!
See you ;)

We loved everything about this Resort. The staff could not do enough for you. They always greeted you with a smile and hello. This resort is a great place to just relax, it is not in town, it is in the hills 3 mins drive from Bophut. The pool was so nice and the breakfast was the best we have had anywhere. Hire a scooter for 300 Bt per day from the hotel. Lots of fun and good quality bikes. Great gym gear, a choice of shuttes to different locations. Looking forward to returning here next year.

Room tip: Room 131 - 137 had the most privacy and tremendous view.
