I stayed here for 7 nights and thoroughly enjoyed this hotel. The staff in particular were very helpful. I was given a room overlooking the garden restaurant at the rear, which at this time of year (March and very sunny) was quiet, with a great balcony and nice views. The room was spacious - the bathroom a little small but this did not bother me - the most important thing was that the bath was big enough (some hotels have very small baths, I guess to save water) and all the fittings and fixtures were good quality. The hotel had a nice feel, and the outside areas were very pleasant. My mattress looked a bit saggy in the middle, but I slept well enough, and all other furniture in the room had a nice feeling of solidity.

I did not use the spa facilities shall not comment. Room service meals came very quickly. Food great. Breakfast buffet splendid - choose from just about any kind of breakfast imaginable.

I liked the location of the hotel - the local streets are beautiful and very historic - I spent one day just walking around the hotel area - there is history in every nook and cranny around here. The other great thing is that it was easy from this central location on the island to reach anywhere pretty fast. I hired a bicycle, and could reach Valletta in 20 easy minutes.

I noticed that one corridor on my floor was closed off and found that all those rooms were being upgraded, section-by-section, which seemed pretty smart - improving things whilst the hotel is quiet.

Early March 2012 stay - weather hot and sunny, but I gather I was lucky with this.

This was our first time in Malta so we were not sure what to expect. it lived up to our expectations. The rooms were comfortable, very clean and well kept. The staff were very friendly and attentive. The general manager was often seen during the day or at at mealtimes greeting guests with a handshake for the men and a kiss on the hand for the ladies. If you decide to stay at this hotel I would reccommend the half board package. The food was excellent, at breakfast the buffet had everything you could expect. The evening meal was served in a beautiful dining room with style and elegance. We particulally liked the pianist who played whilst we ate our meal. This gave the whole dining experience a touch of class and added to the relaxed atmosphere. If you wish to 'chill out' I also recommend the coctail lounge, again this has a relaxed atmosphere with a good choice of coctails etc.The Hotel is situated around 15 minutes from Valletta and Selima the cost to get to these areas by taxi ranges between 15 to 20 euros although the hotel does operate a free shuttle to these areas. There were a couple of things that dissapointed. The first was the swimming pool, it looked tired and in need of repair especially when it rained. The second(which was not the hotels fault) was that we stayed in two rooms overlooking the cocktail lounge patio area. At around 7.30 each morning we were awakened by the constant barking of a very large dog from one of the adjacent properties. This was most annoying when you wanted a lie in! overall though I would be happy to reccommend this hotel to my friends.

Room Tip: Don't book a room overloking the cocktail lounge, as you will be awakened each morning by the so...

Second visit to Malta, just wanted a good hotel to veg! have a swim and eat. This we got in abundance. The Corinthia Palace though a little jaded was exceedingly comfy and the hotel staff at reception, in the dining rooms etc went that extra step to deliver first class service.
We were upgraded to a suite looking onto the front of the hotel. Attard is a beautiful part of town with the presidential palace and gardens worth a visit and excellent coffee shop further in. Down the street lively bar with gin and tonic at 1.90€ compared to 5.00 for a gin alone in hotel. Had meal in hotel in large dining room with high ceilings excellent food, piano playing, very pleasant and escapism at its best. Gym and pool excelent and again relaxing, men's changing rooms could do with a little more attention. Would highly recommend maybe not in February but at a more clement time of year.

This is one of our favourite chill-out places, not too expensive, although the prices in-house (the bar, cafe and restaurants) have gone up over the years, particularly since Malta joined the Euro! Nonetheless a really good week, despite some of the coldest weather we have experienced on four visits to the island. Some locals were talking about the coldest winter in a generation, although it was still 10 degrees or more warmer than the UK! Wonderful Valentine meal, the rooms and common areas have had an upgrade and the Spa and staff were as good as ever, following the lead of the General manager, who is a real gentleman.
Only criticism is that it has cut back a little on the quality of the breakfast (but not much) and my wife wishes their coffee wasn't so harsh/strong, but it is the style over there and some would expect and like it!
The island has improved its infrastructure a lot over the years we have been going, if not the quality of the drivers using it and the carnival atmosphere pre-Lent was an added bonus!

I was welcomed by the receptionist and Martin (someone else mentions his charm). Room was fine though bathroom was a little worn. A good gym and an excellent bed helped me to sleep well. I didnt dine at the hotel but found some pleasant restaurants and pubs only 100-200m away.
