We went to Trattoria da Claudio for dinner based on the recommendation from our hotel. The ambience is lovely with seating inside and outside in a covered garden. The food was lovely and I imagine it to be very authentically Italian. It is not your typical 'toursity' Italian food, so there was no pizza or lasagne, etc on the menu. There are lots of meat dishes. They have an option to have two of their primi or first course dishes, which is nice if you want to sample more than one dish.
The food was lovely and I'm sure similar to traditional home cooked Italian food. Most of the clientele when we were there (Thursday evening) seemed to be locals. However, if you are looking for your typical pizzas/pastas you might be better choosing a restaurant in a less rural town.
