We had an amazing stay here -- Alessandro and Emiliano spoke great English and connected with us on WhatsApp to answer any questions during our stay. We loved cooking in the kitchen, hanging out with the dogs, sitting on the deck watching the stars, and just generally relaxing here after our days exploring the area. It was a great home base for day trips into Prato, Florence, Cinque Terre and the wider region of Tuscany.
I was able to visit the cottage in mid June. My expectations were beyond exceeded from the hospitality to the beauty the cottage had to offer. Alessandro, our host, went out of his way more than once to help us out and make sure our trip with stress free. After our drive up the mountain to the cottage it was very late and we did not have a chance to stop and eat. Instead of sending us back down the mountain he actually made dinner for us, so we could relax and enjoy the view! Did I mention we were also greeted by 2 Retriever dogs, Jojo hangout with us during our stay! The view was spectacular in everyway and during anytime of the day. I couldn’t be happier that we chose to stay there and look forward to visiting again!
Many thanks to Alessandro and Emiliano for their hospitality and kindness. We can't wait to see you again (hopefully in November with our little Bambino). We loved our stay, it truly matched our expectations and more so. We will come again.
We had such a wonderful week! As other reviews stated, the cottage is spotless, beautiful inside and out, and equipped with everything you need. Alessandro is a wonderful host and we loved the dog's drop-ins. When thinking of what to share that others haven't, it's good for you to know that you won't want to make plans for every day of your trip. The indoor and outdoor spaces are relaxing and inviting -- plan to want to enjoy them. My husband and I spent a lot of time outside reading, eating, drinking, and enjoying the views. We brought a little Bluetooth speaker to enjoy music outside (not too loud though, we hope). Also, I think the description says the bed is a double and it's definitely at least a queen. The grocery store isn't far away, nor is the train station. We took the train into Florence on several occasions and it was very easy and ~5 euro/pp round trip. So while the cottage is in the countryside, it is the best of both worlds -- private, yet with easy access to wherever you need or want to go. We hope to return someday!
My husband and I stayed at Alessandro and Emiliano’s place for 4 of our 11 nights in Italy. The cottage was by far our favorite place. It has all of the amenities needed to make you feel as if you are at home. But more importantly Alessandro and Emiliano are the most amazing hosts. From the appetizer when we checked in, to all of the tips about the area, to having us for coffee on our final morning in their home; it was all perfect! The views from this cottage cannot be beat. We will definitely be back to explore more of this beautiful region and we will certainly make sure the cottage is available before we book anything else!
