Basic details first, we visited in July 17, staying in one of the 'deluxe triple' bungalows next to pool and beach bar. We were a family of four with two children under 12.

The bungalow was great for us, though we had to share the double with my wife and 9 year old, our 11 year old and I had our own single beds. From the terrace we had a view of the sea, and were metres from the poolside.

The walk along the beach from the hotel to the Fishermans' Village is not far but the going under foot is slightly hard going due to the soft sand and beach gradient. However, it's not as bad as some reviewers make it seem. Fishermans' Village is a nice place to visit - there are bar restaurants overlooking the sea, but some of the street view ones are equally nice as the narrow street makes excellent people watching. The street market on Fridays is worth a visit for the atmosphere, and that's from someone who hates shopping.

Back to the hotel, it was very quiet when we stayed - probably too early for school holidays. The pool is very nice and there's a kids pool. The lady who worked at the beach bar, May, was lovely to our kids.

Breakfast was a bit of a disappointment, it was okay, but not great. However, it's not a deal breaker and I would recommend the hotel to families, or anyone looking for a hotel away from the bustle of Fishermans' Village but in striking distance.

Bottom line; clean hotel in nice location. We left Samui Palm Beach in Bo Phut to charter a yacht for a week then went to Chaweng, and Bo Phut is a much nicer area than Chaweng for eating out and mixing with local people. It doesn't have the nice sand or party atmosphere, but we liked it!

Big rooms. Spacious grounds. Quiet. Everything you seek in a vacation to unwind. 10/15 min walk to fishermans village, which is good to be close but not too close. Great service at beach bar along with views over to Koh Pang Gang. An established resort which reflects its early pick of a prime location.

just returned from a 2 week stay at the samui palm beach and we are planning a return next year!!
We booked a villa and found it absolutely brilliant, close to the pool, bar and restaurant,Clealiness is of the highest standard and the staff match this with genuine friendly hospitality (Ned (waiter) and Noi(manageress) were especially nice)
Breakfast had a good variety to suit all tastes and the restaurant provided excellent quality even though it was slightly more expensive than the local restaurants but great for the days spent relaxing by the pool!! snacks served at the bar are cheaper but of the same quality!
Overall I have no hesitation in recommending the samui palm beach and will be returning next year
.

Room Tip: we booked a villa so there was no noise

Greeted by very pleasant staff. Our room with access to an amazing swimming pool with beautiful gardens surrounding. Our room spotless and all staff are friendly and helpful. However the area in which the hotel is situated leaves a lot to be desired it is set back on a very busy main road with nothing but workshops around.Having read that it was in Fisherman's Village we discovered it was a considerable distance from there. It can also be expensive using taxis as you need one to get to any reasonable location. Also beware if you purchase drinks at happy hour as you cannot have 2 non alcoholic drinks for the price of one so you get punished for being teetotal!

Room Tip: Poolside room ground floor with access to pool outside door.
