On time, efficient, impersonal. Donsak to Samui and back. Lots of controls, like a border post, checking car number, ID, taking mugshot, all this is swift enough, but one hardly feels welcome. Service on board is non-existant. However the ships are well maintained and skippered, and got us to the island in due time, all according to schedule. Most popular ferry service, so expect long boarding queues and book a couple of days ahead if driving. Motorbike easy and better service. Altogether, almost like a western ferry company, efficient, but nothing to write home about, while one would expect a little more friendly service in Thailand, which is one of the reasons visitors used to come here.
