Hard to find, but worth the short trip up into the mountains behind Atenas. Small family run farm with a good presentation of coffee lore. I learned that Light Roast keeps the most flavor. Look around the yard of the house to see great orchids! Enjoy meeting the friendly staff. Very Tico experience!

Gabriel is passionate about his work and knows how to pass it on. One minus point because at the end I didn't understand why he chose the prganic way of producing and because he has no grinded coffee to sell: I can't drink his coffee during this holiday! what a pity

This was a fun tour. We got to see a coffee plantation and learned about how coffee is made. This is a family owned business and provided a very intimate interaction.

Gabriel and family run an organic coffee farm. They give daily tours of the farm and coffee tasting. Super informative. He is passionate about what he does and explains completely how they farm coffee and you get to taste the different roasts of coffee. We were there during the rainy season and it was kind of muddy. Tours only at 10:00 am and by appointment only. Cost is $10 per person. Loved it. He takes you on a walk thru the farm also.

Gabriel is so passionate about his biodynamic farm. He has a wonderful story to tell about producing coffee in such a healthy way. We buy coffee from his family at the farmer market in Atenas every chance we get. It's a fun and informative few hours just outside of Atenas, well worth the trip.
