The family and I stayed here for two weeks through June and July 2014. Our stay here was excellent.
The villa is situated in a good location for visiting the north and south of the island, however I would advise hiring a car as most amenities are outwith walking distance. It is part of a group of four villas, two detached and two semi detached. We were situated in Villa C, one of the detached villas, which was secluded from the other villas.
The villa itself is extremely clean and decorated to a very high standard. The pool is lovely, great for a swim in the hot weather.
All the facilities which are required to cook are available and there is a BBQ which we made use of a couple of times.
The flat is cleaned mid stay and the pool is cleaned once every three or four days.
The owner of the villa, Despina, came to visit us to ensure we were enjoying our stay which I thought was a nice touch.
Overall the whole family very much enjoyed their stay and would definitely recommend it to other people.

We stayed at Gonos just last week and it was fabulous. We booked using Thompson Villas section of their website. Arriving at the airport we weren't met by anyone and when I finally did find the Thompson rep she had no knowledge of us. Asked her about car hire and again she was clueless. Finally found the Enterprise desk and secured the car that was part of the package. Directions to Kiatari were included and very easy to follow. After an hours drive we arrived at the villa and were immediately impressed.
We were allocated villa A; there are 4 available, two semi detached (A-B) and two detached (C-D). The key was located in a small security box on the wall and once inside the villa were were very impressed at the standard and layout. 3 bedrooms, two bathrooms and a pool to the rear. A very high standard of decor and cleanliness throughout.
Now if you're a couple wanting a quiet holiday insist on villa D or C. Within hours of our arrival at 2330pm a family of four arrived in the adjoining villa. Noise could be heard as the excited kids screamed around the house and cases being dragged down the wooden staircase. it was 4am!!
Next morning we were woken by the same noisy kids screaming and splashing in the pool and this was to be the theme for the next 3 days until I finally called the Thompson rep to ask to be moved. Nothing against kids, we just wanted a peaceful quiet holiday and to be honest the kids were petulant, unruly and their screams were enough to make butter curdle.
Despina, the owner came to see us and was so very helpful and moved us to the detached villa D. Wow, what a difference, secluded private pool, 5 star decor throughout, beautiful views and I have to say, the villa was the best we have seen. AND NO NOISEY KIDS!
Supermarkets are a short drive away either north or south and there are plenty of beaches nearby if you want to leave the splendour of the villa. Retsina is the new local wine and at 1.99 a bottle well worth a sup or two.
We visited most of the island by car and found it beautiful. We rented a motor launch for 90euro for 2hrs and sailed from lindos down the coast and back taking in some stunning scenery along the way including the GUNS OF NAVARONE cliffs. RECOMMENDED MUST DO!
Rhodes old town is an hours drive away and worth a visit as is Lindos which is about 30 minutes away. Prasinisi is the farthest south where the two seas meet and well worth the drive too taking 40 minutes. Epes Piges (seven springs) is a small countryside park area and worth a look if you want to escape beach life for a while. Pefki is a small seaside resort about 25 minutes drive and very nice too. LEE BEACH is good for kids and has a great restaurant bar on the beach car park area.
All in all a great holiday with lots to do and see, highlight being the villa and its standard but be warned if you don't want screaming kids then try to secure VILLA D or C both of which are detached with a private pool and much bigger pool area.

I stayed at this villa for a week in May to celebrate my parent's Golden Wedding Anniversary. There are 4 villas together - Villas A and B are attached to each other. Villas C and D are detached. We stayed in Villa D. The holiday was booked as a package through Thomson and the directions from the airport to the villa were comprehensive, although the entrance to the villas are somewhat concealed so we drove past about 3 times before we spotted it.
The villa is set at the top of a hill, off the main road. It has lovely sea views from the garden. The garden and pool area were very well maintained with lots of colourful flowers. There was an outside table to seat 6 and 4 sunbeds. The property itself was clean and comfortable. The decor was modern, all furniture and equipment was in good working order. Pool towels were available at the villa, so if you are staying here, no need to take up valuable space by packing any. There was also a hairdryer, safe, free wifi and kettle (I've seen others ask about these, so I thought I'd include this information). All in all, you couldn't have asked for more in a villa and the 6 of us that stayed were very happy and comfortable. We also met the owner, who was finishing off the cleaning when we arrived who was friendly and helpful. There is also an information pack in the villa.
Kiotari, in my opinion, is not really a resort. There are a few 5 star hotels, which I imagine offer all inclusive deals. Therefore there are only a few tavernas within walking distance from the villa. These are on the seafront, which is accessed via a track from the villas (take a torch to guide your way back in the dark) In our opinion you need a car to go to the supermarket as the walk to the nearest one is a bit dodgy on the main road above the villa (turn left out of the villa). The supermarket we used was well stocked with provisions. Next to this there is also an ice cream parlour which I would recommend.
There is also a small shopping centre which has another supermarket, chemists and souvenir shops if you turn right (across the road from the Rhodes Princess Hotel)
The beaches near the villa are not maintained and there was a lot of rubbish that had built up. However, there were some maintained beaches near the hotel and near the lighthouse restaurant with sunbeds and parasols.
A car is definitely recommended if you stay at the Gonos Villas.
